It's been a year since last time mozilla said that thsy were considering adding the option to print. Save as PDF used to be an option before. Where has it gone and why is it still not here? Its an important feature for work.

Right, for now it's working only in the Nightly version. After a stabilizing phase it should be moved to Beta.
