cannot download FF to MAC BOOKAir with M1 chip
A few days ago, my Windows laptop was attacked by Trojan virus. Windows Defender totally disabled the laptop, and I could not even press a key. I had hard disk destroyed and the laptop, too. Because I intended to buy a Mac in a few months anyway. I attempted FF download twice, no luck. I think the M1 chip may not be silicon chip that FF supports.
Do you know a way to get my BOOKMARKS so I can export to Safari? Does FF keep them?
I have a backup of all my documents and I included bookmarks in that, on a removable hard drive USB3.0 The MAC doesn't have a slot for 3.0. Will require having to buy something from Apple to accommodate it.
Hate to do that if it's a fool's errand. I appreciate your advice. Senior citizen in over her head.

Hello JScher2000: turns out I was the cause of FF not downloading. Instead of selecting "ASK", I did BLOCK. SO now that part is fixed. I am going to Apple later to have them transfer my docs over. And then I can see if my Bookmarks are there. (even worse, I lost all my reminders. painful.)
I will see if I have future need for USB 3 or not. If I do, I'll hunt around for lower price. I appreciate your tip!

FYI: Does Firefox work well with MacOS Big Sur on the M1 chip platform? https://support.mozilla.org/gl/questions/1340403
Have you tried to download from here? - https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/102.0.1/mac/en-US/
Is there any way that you could email your bookmarks to yourself? Maybe from a Public Library?
Hello, Robert J: good to know it will work with M1 chip. I cannot do Library, though.
I just remembered I did a few tweaks to some settings this morning. Can't recall if one mentioned downloads. Will try to find them tomorrow.
Thanks so much for the suggestions and links.

There are a lot of third party vendors supporting the constantly evolving cable converter and USB hub needs of Mac users, so you may be able to find a reliable product without quite the price premium if you ask for advice on a Mac forum.
