Hello! I have a weird problem that started yesterday. Firefox was working fine, but one day, it stopped operating as it should. If I type in the address bar, it doesn't go to the page upon hitting enter. If I try to go to settings to reset Firefox, it won't even open settings. The only thing I can do is open the menu. What could be wrong?

I've tried refreshing Firefox, I've tried fully uninstalling, restarting the computer, reinstalling from a clean slate. Nothing seems to be working.

Have you seen anything about this file being missing: VCRUNTIME140_1.DLL

When I had the problem of Firefox being pretty much blank from the tab bar down, and completely unusable, I tried reinstalling it. That's when I saw that message.

If your problem with Firefox started after installing or uninstalling some other software, you could download and reinstall the VCRuntime files from Microsoft here:

In the first section of the page, I installed both the 32-bit and the 64-bit, but I don't know if the 32-bit was really necessary. After the required reboot of Windows, Firefox was back to normal.
