I have been watching videos on one website for 7 years using adobe flash. I have watched videos lately using firefox because of the problems I have had with google speed wise. This last week the videos will not play on firefox. I have tried as many things as I am aware of on the contributors posts website. I also searched the web for answers. I found nothing that would solve the problem.

               PLEASE HELP!!!

Are you sure the site is indeed using Flash and not HTML5 ?

Are you by chance using a N or KN edition of Windows 10?. These editions of Windows do not come with media feature packs which is required in order to fully support HTML5 players that most sites are using now days instead of the ever decreasing use of Flash now.

Most websites have switched to an HTML5 media player and no longer use Flash because Adobe will stop supporting Flash with security updates at the end of this year.
That might have happened in your case as well.

You can check the Web Console for possible media related messages.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows a purple shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check in the Web Console what content is blocked.

Thank You for responding. I have tried turning off enhanced protection. Still issues. The plug in icon does not appear. The black lock icon is not giving any options for plug ins. The videos appear to start loading then stops . The video screen area then goes blank. This last windows 10 uograde did me in. I spend hours everyday trying to determine the issue.
