Just this. Thanks in advance. Here's this add-on's description: "Automatically resumes YouTube videos from where you played them last. Without this extension, for example, when you click through YouTube videos, back and forth, they always start from the beginning. No more. With this extension, previously seen videos will resume from where you left them at. Even if you restart your browser." I have: Author Appteligent LTD Version 1.2.3 Last Updated December 10, 2019

According to the add-on page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-resumer/ that extension has not been updated since Sep 20, 2017.

A similar extension resumeLater https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/resumelater/ is also two years old - Nov 11, 2017.

Thanks. I've tried the other one too now, it doesn't work either. Does either of them work for you? The first one had been working for me until very recently.

I tried installing Video Resumer and couldn't find it anywhere. Not even on Youtube. It's just way too out of date. Even his Facebook page about it is two years old - https://www.facebook.com/Appteligent

Maybe he made a gazillion dollars and bought a shrimp boat.

I meant that I couldn't find it anywhere in the browser or on Youtube after I installed it. (Some add-ons put a button on Youtube)

more options

I find it in my browser easily under "add-ons' (= Ctrl + Shift + A); it is marked as "enabled".

more options

Yep. That much is there. But I can't find anything else about it. I'm trying it again in another profile. I'll get back to you.

more options

OK. Got it! Go to your extensions and click on Video Resumer. It will expand and you will see Options - select that and the Options will open. It does work at Youtube.

Do you mean that you tested it and it does resume youtube videos for you?

more options

Yes. It does. I played a video for about 2 1/2 minutes, left Youtube, went back to the video and it picked up where I left off.

more options

p.s. If you do not mind, please try it with this particular video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbSeNYzYCiA I.e., let it run for 5 minutes in the middle, then close, then open again.

Do you have Windows 10?

more options

Yes. And I'm playing the video now.

more options

I played 5:00 minutes. Closed the browser. Opened the browser again, returned to the video and it picked up again at 5:00 minutes. Right where I left it.

You aren't clearing cookies and site data when Firefox closes, are you?

more options

No, I do not. Actually, I'm not even closing the browser, only the tab with the video. Am puzzled why it does not work for me.

Are you in Private Browsing?

more options

Am not sure what private browsing is. I have the icon with the link to the video on my desktop, I click on it, and a tab with the video opens. Do you have the latest version of Firefox with all the latest updates?

more options

I'm all up to date. Private Browsing mode would be indicated by a purple icon on your toolbar.

more options

Am not sure which one is the toolbar but I do not see any purple icon on any bar.

The icon looks like this in the screenshot.

I've cleared Youtube watch & search history. Paused both. Cleared everything out of the browser and I can't make Video Resumer not work.
