How to search a date as text (ctrl-k) in all the mails (eg 20.02.2019)
Thunderbird 60.5.1 german on w10_64_Home_Version1809:
I want to search all mails with a date witten (eg: 20.02.2019) within the text (not the sent-date!).
If I enter the date in the search-field (ctrl-k) Thunderbird finds all mails with the text "2019" in and not the exact string ("20.02.2019"). Any idea?
Using "20.02.2019" no success..., using '20.02.2019' no success... Thanks in advance...

Did you select the Body filter for the folder search? See attached picture which shows the result for a message with 20.02.2019 in the message body.
As already mentioned, a Saved Search can be applied to multiple folders from multiple accounts.

It doesn't seem to work with Global Search (Ctrl+K), but it does with the Quick Filter Bar with the Body button selected, or with the folder search (Ctrl+Shift+F). To apply a folder search to multiple folders, you could create a Saved Search (File/New/Saved Search).
Thanks, but this doesn't solve my problem: 1) 2) The search only checks one folder and not all of them. And on toplevel, there ist only ctrl-k search... 3) If I use full text search (using Enter when nothing found), because he didn't find anything, it's the same result as ctrl-k Thanks!

Thanks, it works, but there should be no need to do a workaround. but anyway, thanks a lot for the work-around!
The different search mechanisms in TB are not exactly the same, as explained here:
