Firefox "Clear Recent History" not working.
Hi,
When I try to Clear Recent History in Firefox I noticed that it isn't working. I checked this by running CCleaner ( analysis ) to check. I then run Firefox Clear Recent History. When I go back & check CCleaner there is no change. Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of history is this about?
Cache & Cookies. Time range to clear: Everything.

Do you see these cookies in the Cookie Manager?
CCleaner might consider some special system cookies and persistent local storage as unwanted personal data and complain about this. Firefox needs to store some data to be able to use the Google phishing protection service and for other online based services. If you use external cleanup software then this software might not know about this and might corrupt your profile folder if you would cleanup this data. Best is to use only builtin Firefox means to clear your personal data.
Firefox is not clearing cache.
Can you clear the cache manually?
"Clear the cache":
- Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
You can also try to clear the cache2 folder manually with Firefox closed. See the about:profiles page for a button to go to the disk cache.

Yes, I can clear the cache manually. It shows the same MB to be cleared as CCleaner. When I try to clear the cache using Clear Recent History either nothing is done or a small fraction of the cache is cleared.
