Background in HTML Inserted Responsive Email Not Showing in Recipient's Email
Hi,
Please know ahead of time that I am new at this. So please excuse any stupid questions.
I made a responsive email and inserted it via the HTML insert option on thunderbird. So far, so good. I sent the email to my gmail and outlook accounts and while everything looks perfect on gmail, the background image I chose does not show in outlook. In addition, text that shows as white in the original email body is changed to black on an outlook system.
Is this just something that happens due to the differences in email clients? Or is there a way to get my background to show on outlook emails?
I can provide the code I'm using if need be.
Thank you so much!

A good starting point is the information supplied by campaign momitor. The make a living with marketing emails, so what is supported by what cients is imporant to them.

If you mean the version of Outlook that is in the Office suite, it uses the code from Microsoft Word for HTML rendering, which is a subset of what renders in Internet Explorer 8. I'm constantly amazed by what is not supported by Outlook.
schtuff, is your question answered?
