can't import calendar or contacts from outlook 365

In contacts I've followed the steps through import but outlook doesn't work. I tried to do as csv but apart from first and last name, the fields don't match and the is no field at all for primary email????

In calendar, I click Tools, Import....and nothing happens.

What's wrong please?

Matt, thank you for the reply. I am, unfortunately, one of the point and click people mentioned in the article and have little prowess with PC's. However I followed the article and although the data in my csv/excel file is not quite as straightforward as it should be, i.e. First Name column shows firstlastfirst it did actually transfer ok. I'll have to do a little tweaking but the bulk of the address book is OK, many thanks for that.

I'm still struggling to import my calendar though. There doesn't seem to be a facility for this. Am I missing something? I open Calendar, Tools, Import but there is no Calendar button and no option to import a csv.

use the events and tasks menu entry. then import and point the file picker to the ICS file you exported from outlook.com.

Although I have been fiddling this afternoon. Perhaps synchronized Outlook calendars is possible. See https://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2016/10/outlook-calendar-in-thunderbird.html

I think I have all the necessary steps documented.

Matt, many thanks for your time, I did try but this is far too complicated for me. I ended up transferring it manually.
