I hear Firefox 49 contains native Widevine support, including Linux. On FreeBSD (10.3) I am running Firefox 49 and see the Widevine Content Decryption Module in the plugins list, however it persistently says "Widevine ... will be installed shortly" with no apparent intention of installation.

What is the status of Widevine support on FreeBSD for Firefox 49 (and up)? FreeBSD is a first class operating system and should be treated as such by major (open-source) projects such as Firefox.
