Lately I have speed problems. It's my router. So when I'm downloading with bad speed, in the download manager e.g. a video, the download manager might stop downloading. The thing is when it stops and you click the right button the to continue, it actually starts from the begging. I hate that because if a video (who took 1h to reach to 90%) has to start again, it wastes my time. Usually (from what I know the download managers continue from where they stop off.) There's no reason to have a download manager if you have to download a file from the begging.

Hello

So sorry about this. It really sucks to wait for that long and not have it work as you want it to.

How to disable plugins

Disabling a plugin will turn it off without removing it:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
  • In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Plugins panel.
  • Select the plugin you wish to disable.
  • Select Never Activate in its drop-down menu.

To re-enable the plugin, find it in the list of Plugins and select Always Activate in its drop-down menu.

Kindly check this article for more : Disable or remove Add-ons

Thank you.

It is usually better to use an external Download Manager if you have an unreliable connection. An external Download Manager offers better support for resuming interrupted downloads than the built-in Firefox Downloads Manager. Use an external Download Manager if you need download features not offered by the Firefox Download Manager.

You can use the FlashGot extension to integrate an external Download Manager in Firefox.
