Updated yesterday to TB 31, and now when I start TB it wont check for email automatically.

And Yes, the box on all my account are checked to do that.

Any ideas ?

Try re-starting your system. I had a similar issue after updating to 31.1.1, but I also noticed that I wasn't getting prompted for a pop server password, even though "Connected" status was displayed in the status bar. (I don't use stored passwords.) After a system re-start the password problem went away and my new messages downloaded properly.

How exactly do you determine TB doesn't check for new mail?

Because when I open TB, I wait about 5 minutes, but nothing happens.

When I click for manually check for messages, they are downloaded.
