When I search something, a redirect tab appears, how do I stop this from happening?
Every once in a while when I'm put something in the search bar on google and hit search it will redirect me to a new page and the tab will even say redirect. In the mean time the original page still looks for what I searched. Or I'll click on something on the task bar and it will redirect me, and yet the original page still goes to whatever I clicked on. What can I do to get this to stop?

How often do you think this happens? If it happens a few times a day, it would be worth trying to run for a day in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled (Flash and other plugins still work)
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)
Any difference?
If it's more intermittent than that, you may not know whether Safe Mode is actually helping, which would defeat the purpose of using it. In that case, could you review your extensions and disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized ones. You can open the Add-ons page using either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column click Extensions. Then, if in doubt about its value or trustworthiness, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
