Sending Email Failed
Sending of a message failed because the Outgoing server (SMTP) send@xtra.co.nz failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections.' This has happened irregularly over the last 2 months or so, even with a complete shutdown of all devices, power off and restarts. This is occurring in New Zealand. I have tried the suggestions from the web a few times, they have not helped

The first thing to do is to confirm that you're using the correct server settings. This page has their required IMAP./POP/SMTP settings:

The fact that it happens irregularly suggests to me that there may actually be an ongoing problem with their email service. Have you tried contacting them while it's happening to see if there is a known outage?
