Why is my menu bar turning from white background to black without me changing anything? Is it something to do with the local time, now 6:13 pm? I want the background to be white all the time!

Then please set your macOS system appearance settings to not change during day.

Thank you for taking the time to enter a suggestion, jbr. My System Appearance Setting was already on Light.
I shut down Firefox, then reopened it maybe 20 seconds later, and the light background to the menu bar has reappeared. I trust that it stays that way, but have an easy fix at hand now (I hope).
