Saving tab content as a PDF
Since the Firefox Developer Edition update 152.0beta, saving as a PDF via the print menu no longer works. Although the “Save as PDF” option is available and selected by me, the job is always sent to the laser printer (which is not supposed to print it, of course). This happens on every conceivable website, so the website itself is not the cause. (Platform: macOS Tahoe 26.5.1)
For years, I’ve been able to generate PDFs via the print menu in FF without any issues—now I’m forced to take a detour via Safari, for example (which works correctly every time). So who has recently tinkered with this FF feature?
Since I can’t find the relevant setting in the FF preferences—and a “search” on this topic has been unsuccessful—I’d like to know if there’s a solution?

This is fixed in v152.0.1 available now: https://www.firefox.com/en-US/firefox/152.0.1/releasenotes/
Unfortunately, there’s still a catch, because my first info14179 (6/5/26, 1:51 PM) begins with the following explanation: “Since the Firefox Developer Edition Update 152.0beta, saving as a PDF via the print menu no longer works.” My work environment uses Firefox Developer Edition, so I’m missing a solution to this problem specifically here. The problem persists even with the latest version, “Firefox Developer Edition Update 153.0b1 (aarch64).” As a result, I’m currently still forced to use other browsers to generate PDFs.
You're right! It's fixed in v153.0b2 which given it lands on a US holiday might ship differently.
The workaround for now is to not use the "system dialog" option… the built–in Firefox print panel should still export PDFs without printing them.
(But hopefully you'll get the Beta tomorrow as normally planned.)
