Suddenly I cannot any longer access my AOL account.
I have an older version of Mac OS X (10.10.5 Yosemite). Suddenly the AOL page doesnt work like before, I cannot access Mail anymore

You might want to research how to switch from web-based email to a standalone desktop mail client, that won't have similar "compatibility" issues, unless you can upgrade your Mac to a newer macOS version.
