Both the above have recently appeared on my old Dell Optiplex Desktop and are causing glitches and other problems (slowing down and sluggich performance). For instance, on my Google Search page, my contact list is being blocked by a panel connected with this new installation, and is losing me access to my Contacts. How can I solve this problem, please.
If possible, I would like this programme removed from my compure

Two other notes:
(1) Sidebar
You should be able to close the sidebar when you don't need it. More info in these articles:
- Use the sidebar to access tools and vertical tabs
- Use the Firefox Sidebar to access bookmarks, history, passwords and synced tabs
(2) Link Preview
Firefox can pop up summaries of linked pages. If these are getting in the way, see Preview webpages in Firefox with link preview for steps to turn it off.
