My muscle memory has me constantly clicking just slightly to the right of where the furthest right tab is. It feels weird stretching alllll the way right or alll the way left. I've tried both spots and it just feels unatural to me. Obvioulsy I'll get used to it after a while its just I'd like it to be back to where I'm used to it being.

Yes, you can move it. Go to menu -> More tools -> Customize toolbar and place it on the right side of the tab bar, then confirm it with Done. It should stick to the last tab.

I've tried that but it doesn't seem to work :( it'll stay very far right. Maybe I'm not putting my mouse percise enough? Any guide I can look at to do that?

edit: spent like 2-3 minutes of doing it again and again and again. some how got it to work. appologies for any rudeness.

Note that you do not need to click the '+' to open a new tab, if there is empty space then you can double-click (or middle-click with the mouse wheel) in empty space to open a new tab.
