When you open a new tab a "snippet" is shown at the bottom of the page. According to the preferences this is for "Updates from Mozilla and Firefox".

Now I'm starting to see messages about how I can fight racism and how I should be proud of who I am.

Is there a way to limit the messages to things that are actually related to Firefox? I want to see important technical updates. I see enough political statements everywhere else.

Snippets usually show a close button if you hover this message to prevent this message from returning.
Otherwise you can disable showing snippets via "Options/Preferences -> Home".
