What I alway do :

After I have pasted the URL in my Word document, I highlight it and then click on " Say what you want to do" and I type "Insert hyperlink".

A dialog will appear and all I have to do is click "OK" and the URL is now a hyperlink. When I hold the Ctrl key and click on it, it takes me to the page.

Thanks for your reply. I have added some pictures to further clarify what I'm hoping to have answered.

What I'm trying to do is take the hundreds of Bookmarks that I have backed up in Firefox and their associated active links/urls as well as their titles/categories and put them into a Word document that will allow me to further organize and sort them.

I hope the new pictures help.

You can possibly use the clipboard and copy and paste bookmarks from the Bookmarks Manager (Library) to an HTML capable editor (flavor: text/html) to get the bookmarks directly.

Thanks. I uploaded the screenshots again and they look to be good from my end. I hope they work.

Can you paste HTML content (text/html) in a Word HTML document as live clickable links ?

A Copy in the Bookmarks Manager (Library) gives HTML code (<A HREF="URL">TITLE</A>) when you paste HTML formatted code:

Here's a round-a-bout way: Open the html in Firefox right-click on the page and select Save Page As... On the Save as Type drop-down select Text File (be sure to select the location) Then, open the text file in Word Pad and Save it as a Rich Text File.

You can now open it in Word.

Wait. The WordPad has the hyperlinks but, in Word it doesn't. I'm working on it.

With screenshot #2, please separate those images into separate screenshots. Currently those images are very blurry when that screenshot is resized to 200%; can't read any of the text.

Thanks for putting your time into this. Your solution works great as does the one I found on the Support forum from 8 years ago if you can believe it :)

Like yours, it boils down to taking the file you created when you "Export Bookmarks to HTML" and then open that file using the Firefox.

In the top left toolbar in Firefox click "File" and then click "Open File" the find where you've saved you HTML Bookmark file and double click it. It will open in a Notepad type file with all your Bookmark links active as well as the headings. You can then click "Save Page As" and for me is saved it as an active Word document.
