Is there a SAFE ad-on to export Firefox passwords and bookmarks on Mac platform?
The internet supplies lots of suggestions for exporting PW from Firefox. Some sites are no longer functional URLs (a BIG RED FLAG) and others suggest add-ons from a long list. I have no idea whether Mozilla has a preferred securer add on to export my passwords....but it would be nice to know if one exists

Hi Marc, if you don't find a third party script or program you can trust, you can run a script in Firefox's Browser Console to spit out the list in CSV or JSON format. For example:
- JSON file: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1258644
- CSV: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1253828 (copy/paste from console)
P.S. There is a built-in bookmark exporter: Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks.
this works great for bookmarks...but it does not export saved passwords

True. You'll have to try one of the other suggestions for the passwords.
