when I am watching netflix about 10 mintues in to watching something firefox freezes for a split second then goes back to being normal. this goes off and on every 15 seconds or so. over time the freezes get longer to the point firefox completely freezes and will not come back. gives me error from windows saying firefox has stopped responding.I can force end it then go right back into firefox and runs great then does the samething again. I noticed this after the lateset update.

So does that mean you have the recommended size (Default) that you have been in there before and you looked and saw the recommended size (Below the Default Numbers) then you clicked Custom Size then entered the Recommended new size ?

Could you check for Video card update and or re-install it please as per : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration Try without Hardware Acceleration also You might want to turn off Extensions you do not use daily.

I can not tell how many gigs of ram have from the info I have but please try this : MICROSOFT VIRTUAL MEMORY

You may want to try this: Open the System Folder then Click on left side Advanced System Settings which opens System Properties click the Advanced Tab then click Performance button Settings then the Advanced Tab then Click the Change under Virtual Memory click Custom Size and Change Size to where it says Recommended Size then Click Set and then Click Apply then please Re-boot.

System - -> Advanced System Settings --> System Properties - -> Advanced Tab - -> Change Virtual Memory - -> Custom Size - -> ENTER Recommended Size - -> Set - -> Apply-- > Reboot It will help.

If the 2 above do work then please follow this on : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-hangs-or-not-responding

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I have 6 gb of ram on my pc.

i checked my graphics card for updates none are available

I checked the virtual memeory settings- already set to the recomended settings.

I started going through the firefox hangs or not respnding.

  • firefox is not using alot of resources.
  • not getting a warning for unresponve script
  • went to the firefox closes unexpectedly tree
-does not happen at start up so continued on
-still causes the issue in safe mode, however, in safe mode would not allow windows to force close firefox.

tried fresh install with no extentions and still have the issue.

I submitted a crash report before doing a fresh install- I.D.-3b9db741-0d17-4adb-ba6b-039a30170706

followed everythign else in the tree for unexpected crashes tree and everythign is up to date, no hardware issues, and no ram issues.

No i have never messed with it before. I had try to try this something before with Spotify support but it will not let me change any of the settings for it. Whole window except for ok and cancel is grayed out
