Awhile back, perhaps after an automatic upgrade(?), the first Firefox window that opens had a movable frame at the bottom with a section for history & maybe another for bookmarks etc.

I never use it & must always drag it down to the bottom of the screen to minimize the intrusion. If I don't do so, any new window or tab that I open from there will have that same annoying frame in the way. I can't seem to find any option to eliminate it.

Is there some way to do so?

被選擇的解決方法

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: 3-bar Menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

Hi, that is the Organize Bookmarks window at the bottom. So if the above doesn't work, please see How to set the home page, and click on Restore to Default.

It turns out it was the "last page" add on, which I don't even remember installing. Fortunately, I only had a few add ons to check out.

Thanks for telling us what extension caused this issue. I've seen more questions about this specific issue, but can't remember having seen what extension causes this.
