I have 3 PC's - 2 running W10 and one W7 - all use Firefox as their default browser. I am finding that Firefox updates on 2 of these but not on one W10 PC. When trying to update on this PC i get the message "Firefox is up to date". It is running Firefox 39.0 while the other 2 updated quickly to 39.0.3. I checked all the Firefox settings and they are the same on both the W10 PC's. Very confounding why one updates and the other one does not. Please help!

It is possible that not all users get an update offered at the same time ti avoid servers getting overloaded. If it doesn't happen during the next day(s) then you can download and install the full Firefox version.

You can find the full version of the current current Firefox en-US release (39.0.3) here:

Go up one level if you need another locale.

Thanks for the link, i will use it - but still does not answr my question. Even after several days of new version release and install on other 2 PC's it does not show on one PC. What can be causing this?

Firefox 39.0.3 has been released yesterday (August 6)

Version 39.0.3, first offered to Release channel users on August 6, 2015

Thanks, i was able to install the latest version using the link. But my question still is - why does one PC update automatically whereas the other one does not? Both running W10 and with same settings. Any thoughts?

The update server may be throttled and it won't respond to every 'ping' looking for the update to keep the server from being overloaded. Firefox contacts the update server once a day; if it doesn't get the update today it will try again tomorrow.

User can check manually via Help > About Firefox - that's usually works every time to get the update.

I understand the hrottling issue - have been trying for 3 days now! Also i try thru Help>About Firefox - says Firefox is upto date even though i know it is not since the other 2 PC's updated to 39.0.3 whereas the problem one is still at 39.0.

Why did you think that you had to update Firefox three days ago when the official release was only yesterday?

Sorry, it was only yesterday - my apologies.
