Recently, I made an account in Pintrest. I was not happy with it and deactivated my account. However, there is still a "pin it" button which pops up whenever I hover over images. I would like to get rid of this irritating button but can't find out where it is or how to get rid of it. I looked in add-ons -> extensions and nothing is there. Could someone help? It's driving me nuts. @@

If this is a Flash object then you can check the Flash local storage.

  • Windows Control Panel > Flash Player > Storage: Local Storage Settings
    • Remove a specific domain: Local Storage Settings by site
    • Remove all domains: Delete All and Delete Data

Global Storage Settings Panel:

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

Thank you for trying to help. I tried both solutions but unfortunately, neither worked. I will contact them directly to find out a solution.
