Why take away the menu options on right-click?

bbollmann

Before the most recent update, I could right-click on my page and press a key like 'b' or 'r' to go back and reload.

You have taken away those keystroke options w/ the new click-friendly right-click menu. This slows me down and there's no reason we can't have both.

hello bbollmann, there are keyboard shortcuts for navigating without having to invoke the context menu first, so you'll be even faster with those: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly#w_navigation

I spend most of my time w/ one hand on the mouse and left hand on keyboard.

It worked so nicely just to right-click and hit a key to go back, refresh, etc..

f5 will refresh a page and you can also hold the shift key and scroll up/down with your mouse wheel to go back/forward in your history...

I understand that.

And the F5 and right-click-r as well as the backspace and right-click-b have coexisted for years now... ...so why take them away from the right-click context menu just because we added a couple pretty icons?!?

Why can't the pretty icons coexist with/like the F5 / right-click-r and the backspace / right-click-b?!?

ADD features, don't remove existing ones unless absolutely necessary.

we are a primarily community-run support forum and helpers answering are just normal firefox users like you. so it's probably not the right place to request features (we cannot implement any features & devs won't read here).

please either use https://input.mozilla.org/feedback for general feedback or if you feel that it's a missing feature/regression in the browser file a bug at bugzilla.mozilla.org.

Note that you can navigate the icons via the cursor keys (Down, Up) and press the Enter key to invoke the action like you can with the other items in the context menu.
