When trying to connect to a Yahoo link, like yahoo mail, I get (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

Are you using a bookmark to open this link?
If you do then try to open the https://mail.yahoo.com/ page instead and possibly modify the URL of the bookmark to remove the leading us-mg5
It is usually not a good idea to bookmark such pages directly as such links to specific domains can become invalid.
