Passkey request!
I can't log on my Amazon account because I keep getting a request for a passkey setup from Firefox with a USB. This goes beyond my tech savvy. I was working fine before. This started with my last order with Amazon a couple of weeks ago. Can this situation be resolved from my Mozilla account and how?

puckdrop, Firefox has recently started requesting device sign in from some users before it will allow them to access the passwords stored within the browser. Although the PIN / biometrics being requested in this case are just the normal OS ones that you would enter when you first start-up, or later unlock your device.
For example, if you have a Windows PC and you normally enter a PIN before the desktop first appears, then this PIN should work to unlock access to Firefox's stored logins.
So it might be worth seeing if Firefox has the setting "Require device sign in to fill and manage passwords" enabled, to check if this is what is causing those prompts.
See this article for more information, especially the section "Enable or disable password authentication": https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-password-authentification-prompt

Yeah basically it's a request from the site, that's just passed to the system authentication (e.g. support.mozilla.org/questions/1507331 that has the Windows Hello screen shot or perhaps support.mozilla.org/questions/1595347 in your case) — you'd usually need to click around the merchant site to select you absolutely positively have no passkey and want to sign in using your old school credentials…
… but if you're unable to work around those obnoxious sites, there's also the option to go into the browser internals, and completely disable the functionality, incl. the whole platform API for authenticators, if that's something you don't plan to use:
