So, all of a sudden my incoming emails went directly to the "Junk" folder for no apparent reason. When I go to the Junk folder to view my emails, they don't show up in the right viewing column.

And when I try to send them back to my "Inbox," they don't go there and I have no idea where they go. I can't see them anywhere. I've checked my outgoing settings and they're where they are supposed to be....as well as my incoming server settings. They are where they should be. I use Comcast, and have checked with them, and those settings are correct

So at this point I have no idea what to do, and obviously need help from someone much more knowledgeable then me! Hopefully I've explained the issue clearly, and have made it easier for those of you out there. I'm not a computer dummy....but this has be quite baffled, as it came on suddenly, and had weird characteristics.

Thanks to all,

Michael...

The folder 'Inbox' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again.

Receiving this error a couple times a day when using Thunderbird: "The folder 'Inbox' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again."

I can delete some emails but for the most part, everything in the Inbox cannot be deleted. I have looked at other forums but I haven't found a concrete set of steps to get this error fixed. I am not very familiar with the inner workings of Thunderbird, so more details on how exactly to get this fixed if possible would be appreciated.

Since a couple of days I have a problem with Thunderbird. I can send normal emails without attachments and I have no problem, but when I attach, it keeps loading in 12%, as if it was checking the files, and from there it doesn't go beyond that until it gives a timeout error. I have tried with another email client and it has worked without problem from the same computer. I have paused the antivirus protection in case that was the problem, but it hasn't been the case.

Dear Mozilla volunteer,

I tried to attach a file created in MS Word 365 to an outgoing Thunderbird email message on a desktop computer running Windows 11. An error message immediately said "file not implemented", and it would not accept this message as an attachment. I asked Google how to implement this file, and its reply was a completely inscrutable AI-generated set of instructions readable only by a professionally trained IT expert (if indeed such a person even could read it).

My question to you is: How do I "implement" a file so that Thunderbird will accept it as an attachment? OR: Can you modify Thunderbird somehow so that "implementation" is not required?

Thank you for considering this question.

For weeks I've been struggling with emails coming in only every couple of days. I've been struggling with your Thunderbird option, probably causing even more problems. Can someone step in and solve this??

I have a second email source which has been working. It's 2@soonysystems.com . My first account which has the problem is 1@sculptorjohnston.com . My provider has set up my two emails so the 1@sculptorjohnston.com rides on the 2@soonysystems.com. Aerohost.com that operates these two says this is not caused by them.

What can I do to solve this????

Thunderbird is set as my default email client on my desktop Windows 10 in the default apps and it's set in the Default Programs control panel but when I try to send a document on my desktop to mail recipient, a message comes up saying there is no email program associated to perform the requested action. It is set in Thunderbird as well as the default mail client. Cortana is no longer accessible on Windows 10 on my pc. Thunderbird is set as the email client in the registry settings, I have only a few Startup programs running on startup and cleared the cache in Thunderbird so I don't know what else to do to fix this?

When we moved, our internet service provider did not provide service at the new address. As a result, they killed my IMAP email account I had for more than 20 years. There is a Thunderbird profile folder located in Users\name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\********.default-esr\ImapMail\. It is 49GB in size. How do I get Thunderbird to access this folder and these emails? Do I rename it and/or move it to a different location? Please help. Thanks.

Hi. For a long time, I've noticed that emails I send from home are sent, but those I try to send with the same settings do not get sent when connected to the Internet in 4 out of 4 cafes. My ISP, Zen, hasn't been able to explain why. I've tested whether Google VPN blocks it somehow, and it doesn't. I normally use Thunderbird. Today, I found that, in the same cafe, messages I tried to send using Thunderbird failed to send, whereas there was no problem with GMail, Proton Mail or Outlook. Any suggestions?

Hello everybody, Lately I am getting this frustrating message, from time to time, while replying to an ongoing thread. Some times the issue is solved by removing images or links from the original recipient's signature (further down in the thread). Some other times though, I keep trying to find out what is the problem, deleting different parts of the previous emails on the thread, without any luck! Then I have to make my reply as a new separate message, which is just bad! This does not happen very often, and many times I happens only to one out of many of my replies in the same thread! Which really baffles me. Is this a bug?

Could somebody help me understand why this is happening? Is there a quick way to spot what and where exactly is the problem with my new email, so that I can remove or change the specific part and do my job?

Below you can see the error message I get: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Message detected as spam. [1747131339-578517].. Please check the message and try again."

Thank you all in advance

Right now Thunderbird is taking all my deleted Comcast email and undeleting it. It's doing it for every folder and going back to 2008. This happened about a year ago o a gmail account. I hope it doesn't hop over to gmail when it's done with Comcast. This is TERRIBLE! Did a setting change with the last update? What can I do other than manually go through thousands of emails and re-delete?
