In the last few days, I´ve noticed that even when I don´t have Firefox (my default browser) open, if I open an application, such as MS Word or Viber a Firefox browser opens: "https://mmrtb.com/bonus/com-eu-1-9831/pt-lp1.php?c=4qz1i3cjz62z1&k=44054a8f2a8266ec8cbf5c4400bbcb38&country_code=PT&carrier=NOS&country_name=Portugal&region=Aveiro&city=Oliveira%20De%20Azemeis&isp=Nos%20Comunicacoes,%20S.A.&lang=en&os=Windows%2010&osv=&browser=Firefox&browserv=133&brand=Desktop&model=Desktop&marketing_name=Desktop&tablet=4&rheight=768&rwidth=768&e=5"

I´ve checked everything I can think of, including Temp files, browser cache. I´ve even scanned the registry and all open processes. I´ve also installed another Malware scanner / eliminator, and no spyware or viruses are found. I cannot find anything. What is coming up is something that looks like a raffle or lottery for my ISP, but that doesn´t exist. if I cut and paste the url into a different browser, it takes me to adds for adult websites.

I´ve installed a site blocker as a Firefox browser extension, but I´m still getting the window pop up. I´ve attached a screen shot of what I get now that I´m blocking it. Once I close it, it still randomly loads again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I recently started getting warnings on YouTube saying that I have an ad blocker running and that violates their terms of service. I've run into a few other sites that won't load at all, and also tell me to turn off my ad blocker.

I have not installed any ad blocker and I don't see anything at all listed under add-ons. Can anyone tell me how to identify whatever is causing this?

I tried the MS Edge browser as a comparison and the same thing happens there.

Thanks.

It is what it sounds like. Just merely switching to it crashes it. Previously I was struck on Private mode but after reinstalling, I'm now struck on normal mode. Don't know if it's a bug or whatever but it is what it is. It noticed this around a week ago but don't know it was there even before that. Last time I left it on Private and didn't switch but when I went to switch Last week, it crashed.

Hi, I'm developing an extension that uses API. I did not found legal method to turn off the preflight requests to API endpoints. API is not considered to response `OPTIONS' method with `Access-Control-Allow-Origin'. Therefore I cannot use it, browser does not allow it. I trusted the website API by 100%.

Is there any method to turn off CORS policy for the specific domain. Thx

They look official, but charge you money to file a report that can be accomplished on the government website for no charge. These should not be at the top of the list of search results.

A website that I have to use daily for work requires that I add it to the exception list for cookies etc. I already followed the forum's advice and checked that "site settings" is not active in the customized history settings further below. Yet for some reason when I close firefox, reopen it and go to settings, the website I had added is gone but other websites like f.i. my bank is still in the list. Any advice?

Starting yesterday, whenever I open Firefox, a second page also opens. It is blank and unresponsive to commands. Doesn't do much of anything. The address in the address bar is for a crypto-currency exchange which I've never done business with nor ever visited to my knowledge. No input either on the main screen nor in the address window seems possible. The only thing functional on the page is the red-X in the upper right hand corner. It works fine. But whenever I close Firefox then re-open it, the second crypto-exchange page is there again. It opens concurrently with the regular Firefox browser page. Which functions normally. I don't know what to make of it, and I don't want it. Does anyone have any ideas???

Hi,

Thunderbird tries to access many websites, even when it is in the background and apparently idle. In the last two or three weeks, it has tried to access about sixty websites that Little Snitch (Macintosh) reports by IP address, not domain name. Without knowing the domain name, I cannot tell what Thunderbird is trying to do, so I do not allow it to access those sites.

I know that Firefox does this also and that Thunderbird is built on Firefox.

In the Mullvad browser, built on Tor's browser, which is, in turn, built on Firefox, this problem is resolved by setting an option to use the user's default DNS resolver. I cannot find such an option in Thunderbird. Might there be one in a configuration setting? Or some other way to deal with this matter?

Thanks for any help.

Rick
