I am a long time user of firefox, but over at least the last six months I find that I have to use another browser to log into or use various websites - and I find it very difficult to contact you to try to find remedy. Started out several months ago. Could not verify - captcha - had to use Brave to complete login to complete purchase of subscription. Happening more often as time passes. I can complete logins only when I switch to Brave or Vivaldi. Do not want to switch browsers, but becoming more and more likely.

You can try

1 Test problem sites in a private window first.

2 Temporarily disable all extensions and reload the site.

3 Set tracking protection to Standard.

4 Check if the issue goes away in a new empty profile.

5 If CAPTCHAs or logins work in these conditions, gradually re-enable extensions/settings to find the specific conflict.

Hello,

I'm really sorry to hear you experience troubles with CAPTCHA in Firefox. Could you please give the URLs of the problematic websites or at least the CAPTCHA provider? Our WebCompat team solves such issues, and I'm sure this one will also be sorted out. Meanwhile, here are standard steps you can follow to try solving the issue yourself:

  1. Please check if you have Enhanced Tracking Protection (ETP) enabled. You can do that by clicking the shield Fx89ShieldIcon icon at the left of the address bar.
    • If ETP is enabled, try disabling it. Does the problem persist?
  2. If the problem is not fixed, try clearing Firefox cache. Does it help?
  3. If it does not help, also try clearing cookies and data for the website you experience troubles with (warning: you will be logged out on this website). Does it help?
  4. If it also does not help, try running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode. Does the problem persist?

Looking forward to your update!
