I’m on Thunderbird 148.0.1 (aarch64), and having an issue each time I go to my Sent folder. What happens is this. I try to select an email I just sent minutes ago, and Thunderbird scrolls down to almost the last sent email (in my case, as I keep everything, that email could be years old).

This is only on my M1 MacBook Pro, as on my 2018 Intel Mac Mini (both systems are running Sonoma 14.8.4 I can select any recent email in my Sent folder and the selection stays.

I have several emails (personal and business) that I use and have them grouped in Unified inbox. Recently one of those emails showed up as a new folder (just under Trash folder) in bold type. It has with a varying number of emails in it, now 18. When I click on the 'open folder arrow', a subfolder 'Archives' with nothing in it shows up. When I open the email folder a new page appears with the email as a header and underneath 'set up another account', 'import from another program', 'about mozilla thunderbird', and 'resources'. What is happening? How can I get rid of this folder since I can't read any of the emails in it and it is just a duplicate of the folder that already is working find in the inbox? TIA

As per title, when I step on a new message not belonging to the first thread, the first thread expands automatically. This does not happen when I step on an already read message. I also tried to mark old messages as unread, and the same thing happens. Apparently, it started doing this today, which sounds weird as Thunderbird last updated on the 15th, but I didn't notice this type of behavior before today.

Thunderbird version: Thunderbird Windows MSIX package 1.0 - 140.8.1esr (64 bits)

I have been very frustrated over the years working with tables in TB. I have now encountered a situation I can't solve.

I have a table already create in a draft message. I want to copy some of the cells from Excel into the cells of the email's table. But everything I've tried creates a new table with those copied cells. If I select the first cell of the target table, a table is create within that cell. At that point it is difficult to undo the paste or restore the table to the condition it was before the paste. If I copy tab and/or paragraph separated text it just pastes it into one cell.

Questions:

• How can I copy and paste several table items from one app to another?
• What are the ways to delete rows in a table that has had a table inserted into a cell?

An Undo will not remove the table or the 'missing' cells in the right column. Here is an example of the issue:

Thunderbird--All of my current year INBOX emails disappeared. I have tried repairing the folder, deleting INBOX.msf and restarting including in troubleshooting mode, reinstalled Thunderbird. None of these actions changed the situation. Is it possible to retrieve these messages?

The INBOX folder is much larger than the INBOX.msf folder, so I'm thinking the message info is in there?

I;m using Windows 10.

All my saved mails in my local archives dissappeared about one week ago, probably in connection with a system update of my Thunderbird mail box. These mails are important for me. How do I do to get them back? Best regards, Monica Biander

I use apple mail on my phone and Thunderbird on my PC and my (IMAP) email provider is GMX. I recently added a couple of sub-folders to an existing folder and changed the names of couple of others (in the same main folder). I did those changes on my phone. However, those changes are not reflected on my PC. The folders with changed names are in the folder list but greyed out but the new folders are missing. If I click on a greyed out folder it is empty. I've tried several ways to force the list to update but, so far have been unsuccessful.

What is causing my problem and how can I fix it?

I have 4 email accounts with Thunderbird. When a message comes in it is posted on ALL of the accounts. What am I doing wrong? About 140.8 ESR. Use the internal spam filter or externals like Bogofilter or SpamAssasain? 2nd: RSS option (Blogs and Feeds) every so often downloads duplicate feeds - how to remove duplicates?? Last: Earlier versions Thunderbird can import Outlook Templates - anyone knows how??? Example: I want to send my mom a Mother's Day email with a nice background but the background does not have to be animated - how would I go about that? I have plenty of email templates from Outlook 95/XP - just not sure how to import and use.

I have a few folders I need deleting.

They do not appear in my webmail (mailserver) but do in Thunderbird - I have tried so many methods on your forums, but nothing is working - can you help?

A few days ago I lost all of my saved email messages, plus "sent" emails, and "deleted" emails. I had important information stored there for future use. I am hoping to be able to retrieve it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I made a folder and called it April. One day the folder just disappeared. No one seems to help me recover the folder and i need it. Once I moved emails into that folder they are no longer available in my inbox. SO if you know how to recover my folder help, or if you know how to recover emails that were sent to a folder, that would work also. I use Windows 11 and I have the most recent release of Thunderbird. I use Charter.net as my isp which is pop. Thanks,Charles

Currently my Thunderbird 'Sent' mailbox is only holding emails back to the beginning of 2025. However on previous PC's my Sent mail went farther back, but not I think to the beginning of when I bought the PC. I do backup my PC with some regularity but I am wondering whether there is a limit to how far back Thunderbird saves messages. I've been using Thunderbird for about 20 years and wonder whether I can retrieve some of my great emails :)

I deleted over 300,000 emails from my trash. It now tells me I have a couple thousand files left. however, before the massive delete, it said I was using 15 GB of storage. now, with only 2000 files left, it still says I have 15 GB used. I've tried compacting, but I get an error, saying I do not have enough memory to compact. How to I release all that memory that contains just ghost files?

I downloaded all my emails from my .com mailbox into Mozilla Thunderbird. I could see all of them for about three days, and I was very happy to have them stored locally, as I am planning to move my mailbox elsewhere.

However, today all folders appear empty in Thunderbird and I can no longer see the emails, even though I can see that the files are still stored on my computer.

I have been trying for hours to solve this problem with the help of AI, but without success.

Could you please help me restore or display the emails that were downloaded locally?

I made a folder and saved emails in that folder. A few days later they were all gone, empty folder. I followed suggestions on here, did the repair, erased password and replaced it, did the subscribe, and now even the folder is gone. I spent hours trying to research this and repair it and now I have nothing.
