My windows 10 PC died. I copied the the profiles folder from the old appdata/roaming/Thunderbird to the new Win11 PC, but TB does not pick it up, asking to create a new a… (funda okungaphezulu)

My windows 10 PC died. I copied the the profiles folder from the old appdata/roaming/Thunderbird to the new Win11 PC, but TB does not pick it up, asking to create a new account "John Doe". Any ideas? Best, K.

My email window changed and I don't know how. The 4th column after - date / subject / correspondent being the "Reading Pane" is no longer visible. "Message List Header" doesn't show in settings and neater is table view showing I'm aware of a item at the bottom that can be dragged up but it covers the list of folders.

Tuesday Oct. 7, our ISP converted to a new e-mail program. I could NOT log in/on I called our ISP's help desk. The 'technician' could not help me log in to our Thunderbird POP 3 account. He had me, WITHOUT asking if I had essential - legal - medical-etc. e-mails in the IN BOX or in folders! He NEVER warned/cautioned all ?would? be lost - GONE.

I URGENTLY need to recover all TB POP3 IN BOX & e-mails in folders. I need to access legal messages today, if possible.

If Mozilla does not have a recovery program, what do I do? I am not seeking to recover ' deleted messages (unless his having me change from the POP3 account to a 'new' IMAP account is the same as ' "delete" '.

Any & all prompt responses APPRECIATED! Remain WELL & Be SAFE!

I can't get messages from my Thunderbird account. When I click "Get messages" nothing happens and it usually says "Done" on the bottom left corner. I have to use my domain's webmail account to get my e-mail and it only allows me to read it and delete junk.

I really would love to have my Thunderbird account working again as soon as possible.

...and of course lots unhappy user voices across the forums.

Ah, to start with, a description of how the feature is meant to behave, can be a start. (Sorry, I was just too stupid to find that)

Greetings! I read everywhere that we must install the Lightning add-on to use the calendar feature in Thunderbird. But when I search for this add-on, I get a bazillion options, none of which appears Lightning. There is something called Lightning Calendar Tabs that keeps coming up. Is this it? Doesn't seem so.

Where can one download/install the Lightning add-on?

Establishing an additional email address in my existing Thunderbird account

I established a new email address in my existing Thunderbird platform. It only configures an "Inbox" folder and a "Trash" folder. I can not add a "Sent" folder (or "Draft… (funda okungaphezulu)

I established a new email address in my existing Thunderbird platform. It only configures an "Inbox" folder and a "Trash" folder. I can not add a "Sent" folder (or "Draft" or "Archives", etc.). I tried deleting the account and re-establishing it, but that did not work. I did notice that emails sent from the new account are being saved in my "Local" account folder's "Sent" folder.

I have also gone into "Account Settings" for the new email account to make sure the software was properly configured with where to store sent messages and drafts, but the setting reverst back to the "Local Folders," presumably because there is no "Sent" folder in the proper account.

Please Help!!!

Yesterday I upgraded my PC from Windows 10 to 11. Today I discovered my Local Folders are not visible. Searching tells me the messages still exist, but TB does not show the folders. I did the same upgrade a month ago on a laptop (Windows 10 Pro to 11), no problems. I didn't externally back up the messages as I am a dinosaur and don't know how, but at least they are still on the hard drive. Thousands of them though so I need the local folders back. Tried all the fixes I can find on the Community Forum, without success. Can anyone help please? Bob

In Thunderbird 143.0.1 (64-bit), my appointment invitations are no longer sent automatically to the respective email recipients, as they used to be. I can't find any settings where I can change this. When an email that is received from a sender that has previously been marked as spam then Thunderbird activates the "beep" notification. When I tab to Thunderbird to see the email by then it has already been moved by Thunderbird to the Junk folder. This is quite frustrating as it unnecessarily interrupts workflow just to see that it was junk.

I would like it not to notify on messages that go to the Junk folder. Is there some way I can get this to work.

I am really really distraught right now. It took me two weeks to get the time and focus to write a long reply to a company's nice email to me. Stayed up till 2am to write it. Deliberately wanted to re-read it in the morning before sending. Gone. Nowhere to be found. I pressed "Save to draft" before closing my laptop. But not saved. This account actually has a "draft" folder, unlike most of my other accounts in Thunderbird, which I also cannot figure out and no one has helped me with.
