If I turn on "always use private surfing", can I not have shortcuts on my Firefox landing page?

I had six shortcuts on my landing page; however, I turned on "always be incognito", and my shortcuts disappeared, and I do not see an option to add them back.

Are they mutually exclusive? If not, how do I FIX THIS?

I have three computers on a home network. All 3 have Firefox on Windows 11 Bookmarks on Two are in sync. The third will not. When I login it has my email and password but creates a new profile.

Every time the browser autofills a password it asks me for my Windows password. I don't want this behavior, as this makes password autofill completely pointless. How do I disable this "feature"?

I'm using Firefox-bin on Gentoo, wayland, and for a long time with all updates on my main firefox profile smooth scrolling can not be disabled: Both UI settings called "Use smooth scrolling" and manually setting general.smoothScroll on false - does nothing. Setting general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel on false actually disables smooth scrolling for mouse wheel, but smooth scrolling still happens on keyboard scrolling (holding up or down arrows).

On same browser I have two different profiles: On one of them smooth scrolling were disabled long ago On another one I successfully disabled smooth scrolling this day (it's some default one that I haven't used)

There are no extensions that could override this and I tried disabling them and rebooting and trying again too. I haven't touched any other scrolling relating options except enabled "autoscroll" and tried disabling apz.gtk.kinetic_scroll.enabled but it made no difference.

I found only few entries that describes same thing from long ago but they seem to not be applicable to this one. This bug is only mildly annoying because I rarely use keyboard scrolling and general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel = false already solved half of issue but I'm worried a little if something is wrong

I have not changed any settings related to fonts in firefox (running on windows 10 desktop), but I have this issue where flag emojis are displayed as a letter code on the page itself, but still display correctly in the tab at the top. is there a known fix for this?

Hello dear helpers, When I click on a webpage link (or right-click a link to open a tab in a container), Firefox repeatedly opens the same tab all across the tab line; maybe 20 or more of the same tab. I would be grateful for help if anyone knows how to solve this. Thanks, -AnneF

I downloaded the most recent Firefox update (version 139.0.4) and since then, Firefox has been prompting me to restart to continue using Firefox every day. When I give the go ahead to restart, I get a pop up that says I need to either exit the Firefox client completely, or create a new profile to continue using it because Firefox detects an older version (this is even after updating it manually).

It's made about 5 profiles since the 10th, and they're all still in tact. I clicked my very first one and it very much still works (and even gives me a popup when I open it in a new window that says Firefox is using the latest version). It's been really disruptive to my work flow as it has happened several times in the last two days. I keep checking my settings and it says that I'm updated to the latest version of Firefox, but it continues to kick me out.

When I use non-incognito browser to go to https://www.truist.com and enter a login and password that is valid I receive a JASON response message window that says {"type":"about:blank","title":"Bad Request","status":400,"detail":"Failed to convert 'userIdEncrypted' with value: ","instance":"/dias/authenticate"} If I use a new private window I can login normally. Others have said the same thing but the suggested remedies do not work. I have delete all cach, cookies, and site data associated with the truist.com domain and the same problem happens. If I use Edge all works well with the truist.com site. Where does this useridEncrypted come from? Anyway, I thought I would try to clear out the userid which was prefilled in with the help of Firefox and just retype my id. Viola, everything worked. So wherever Firefox is retrieving the saved login id from, that must be corrupted somehow. Hope this will help somebody that is experiencing this problem.

PLEASE HELP! I allowed Avast to do a "clean up" this week. That usually entailed a "scan" for viruses. NOT ANYMORE! My computer is really messed up! I just tried to delete Avast, and even though I hate to see ads, I think their Ad Blocker is messing up my PC. I just noticed that when I asked what I thought was FIREFOX a question, the answers were supplied by an entity called THLIOKNI. WTF is THAT?????? Seriously, what is happening to my relatively NEW PC--had to buy a new CPU in October of 2023. And I've always used Firefox. But WINDOWS 11 is the operating system on this PC, and it is NOT compatible with Firefox apparently! I'm an elderly woman and I cannot handle this stress! What I also noticed is that I read Substack writers and depend on them for accurate description of current political and social news, but now I can't access the "like" buttons on commentators. Is that a Substack issue (I don't think so!), or is it something to do with the Avast "clean up?" WHAT ON EARTH IS THLIOKNI and how the hell did that get on my computer? PLEASE ADVISE ASAP! I use Firefox (139.0.4 (aarch64)) on my Mac as my daily browser. I also use Firefox as my primarly browser on iOS (139.1 (56110)). My passwords simply don't keep synced between the two. I'm logged in to both using the same Mozilla account. Some passwords sometimes sync. But many are missing on iOS, and many that are there are out of date. I've done the usual like logging out and in again, I've tried forcing sync manually, passwords are set to sync on both devices. This has been going on for years now and I'm at the point where I'm going to have to switch browsers as I can't keep not having access to my passwords on my phone. Any ideas on how I can fix this? For the past 2 days, Facebook won't load when I try to change my page to another (just switching between accounts). It acts like it is changing or loading, and then I just get nothing. I have done all of the things that are requested from clearing my cache, browsing data, restarting, etc. Nothing is working. I've attached a picture of my screen of I receive when I try to change pages - the big F. LOL Facebook on my phone works fine. I've tried also turning off my VPN and it doesn't load.

I've also had issues with my Xfinity email loading unless I turn off my VPN.

So what is going on?

I enabled Microphone Access for the Doximity website (https://www.doximity.com/dialer/home/voice) but it continues to require that I click "Allow Microphone Access" every time I try to place a call. Please see attached screenshots. Is there any way to fix this, so that I don't need to click "Allow Microphone Access" prior to every single call?

Hi I have found a few times now that if a website calls for information to be input in a form and then submitted the submit doesn't work. However if I bring up chrome then it works fine so I guess it is either one of my settings or a problem with firefox...?

Open previous windows and tabs stopped working. I have gone to settings and made sure the option was selected, which it was, so I proceeded to refresh Firefox, no difference. I deleted Firefox completely and download it, then reinstalled it again. Still not working. How can I fix it?
