Hi Allensgirl, I'm a little troubled that you have an extension named "Skip Cert Error". This suggests that you have this problem a lot.

Because certificate errors can indicate that malware or untrustworthy sites are intercepting all your secure connections, it is important to investigate why Firefox does not trust these certificate before resorting to papering over the problem.

For the two sites you mentioned that you can access in IE but not Firefox, can you check the "Issued by" or "Issuer" information as follows:

In IE's address bar, click the padlock icon, then View Certificates. I have attached a composite screen shot of what I see for https://faxzero.com/ in IE8 for comparison.
