FF 12 does not open attachments for yahoo email

FF recently updated and since then I have not been able to open attachments in yahoo email.

I know it's FF because it does not happen in IE or chrome.

I have used FF for years and it is my browser of choice. However if I can not address this issue I will have to pick another browser.

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

I'm having the exact same problem! It started 2 days ago for me.

This is happening for me, too, ever since I updated FF. The fix they suggested did not help.
