Firefox beta release: 116.0b6 (64-bit)

On sites such as BBC.com, Youtube.com and Facebook.com I am not getting the normal cookie consent pop-up option which used to automatically show on opening the sites. Other sites are still showing the cookie consent option pop-ups. This means I cannot select if I wish to accept or reject cookies on several sites that used to allow me the option.

In checking about:config, the cookiebanners.service.mode is set to 1, which I believe this the correct setting for enabling the cookies consent pop-up option.

Is there any fix for the cookie consent pop-up not working on certain sites within the EU? I am not using a VPN or pop-up blocker. Tracking protection is set to Standard, cookies and site data are always deleted on closing Firefox and "Do Not Track” signal is set to always. Deleting all installed FF extensions has no effect either.

In other browsers on the same PC, Chrome and Edge, the cookie consent option does still work as it should on the sites mentioned. In Firefox it doesn't.

This is only happening on one PC. My latop has the same FF beta build installed and is not showing this behaviour, it still automatically shows the cookie consent pop-ups when visiting sites such as BBC.com, Youtube.com and Facebook.com.

When I open `about:preferences` tab, `Downloads` directory is created in my home directory, despite my downloads directory is different. I've read issue 474718 which states that it was fix but i still experience it. Linux x86_64

As of this morning, Sat 8-5-23, Outlook mail loads, I see a list of new mail in my inbox, but I'm unable to read any mail, or see any of my drafts. It loads, and works on Bing, and amazingly works ok in Firefox Private Browsing. Win 11 FF 116.0.1

I was directed to contact you by Metamask Support. I'm experiencing a problem connecting to Metamask from Firefox, though it connects without any issues in Chrome. Based on this, Metamask Support believes the issue may be related to Firefox.

Here's what I've done to troubleshoot so far:

Cleared cache data in Firefox. Verified that I'm using the latest version of Metamask (34.0). Encountered an error when trying to switch networks with the message "unable to connect to Polygon." Confirmed that no other wallets are causing conflicts. I've attached some screenshots for your reference.

Given that I can connect to Metamask in Chrome and have already cleared data in Firefox and ensured I'm using the latest version of Metamask, Metamask Support suggested the problem might lie with Firefox.

Could you please help?

On some webpage, I experience delay response when I trying to search sometime. For example, in Google homepage after typing something or even gibberish the page froze and not responding for about 10 second but the browser is still functioning (meaning I can still move other tabs or open option). Once that 10s delay is over, it responded with my result. And something when I when to search back something again(not in the homepage), more of the time is response back fast like 0.2s but other time the same 10s delay. This problem also happens in some other website but not all in their search bar. I have try in safe mode. disable all my extension, reinstall Mozilla Firefox, check any windows update and such. Also other browser does not have this problem such as chrome and brave. If this problem still persisting then I would such to other browser but prefer not to as I quite fond of Firefox. In the right hand Bookmarks column of my Firefox, there are three items: Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menus and Other Bookmarks (see attached image).

When I do a “save this page,” the bookmark ends up in the Bookmarks Toolbar section. I want the “save this page” page to go to the Other Bookmarks folder. How do I do this?

Firefox 116.0.3 (64-bit) do not paste in whatsapp web and other applications exemple I copy an image and want to past it in whatsapp web nothing but it work in brave browser...

I just upgraded my Ubuntu 18.04 to 20.04 and found that Firefox (which was working perfectly before), does not work properly. Graphics (eg. profile pics on various websites) are not displayed, buttons of websites are often missing, some websites are displayed in a weird "zoomed out" way.

With Google Chrome, I don't have these issues so it does not seem to be a Linux thing...

I already tried reinstalling Firefox, but to no avail...

Help is appreciated as I would not want to migrate away from Firefox which has worked well for me for years...

Back in the day, I used to used 'boolean'(?) operators to refine web searches. E.g. if I want to search for "blue whale" and didn't want any ebay returns, I'd type: blue whale -ebay That doesn't seem to work now, is there another method I could use?

I've been using Firefox for quite some time and I always keep a bunch of windows open throughout a few workspaces on my laptop. However, this takes up a lot of resources and looks very messy. So, I've been thinking of writing a script/extension to simply store all the open links in a window to a named list that I can, then, come back to when I need and reopen. That way, I could possibly have different lists, separated by topic and stored in a single place.

I'm sorry if there is an obvious solution for this, I saw a couple of similar questions have been asked before, but none that I could use as reference.

typing does not match keyboard When I type a character I get a sequence of qwerty keyboard symbols from hitting the same character. for example when hitting "a" I get the following (I must cut and paste to get my typing in this support page. 34567890-=qwertyuiop[]asdfghjkl;'`\zxcvbnm,./-+\123456789

Task Manager detail line can be expanded to show multiple open tabs, and I can sort display by CPU but that doesn't help me identify WHICH SPECIFIC tab is using high CPU. Are there any tools to help me quickly identify (and perhaps End) such high CPU tabs/processes? Thanks!

Since a few days, it is not possible to copy-and-paste any external text or content into the text field of WhatApp Web on Firefox. It works fine on Chrome. Also text manually copied from a previous WA message can be pasted.

We tried on other PCs with Firefox and Chrome, same situation. So it seems to be a problem of Firefox latest version.

Since a week or two my Firefox tabs are crashing more and more often. At work on MacBook and at home on PC.

Deleting the cache and cookies and even starting in Safe Mode are not helping - in fact while writing this very message had 5 crashes meanwhile!

I am unable to sign into Costco.com using Firefox. I get an error message:

    "Bad Request - Header Field Too Long
    HTTP Error 400. A request header field is too long."

Turning off all extensions didn't help. Opening a private browsing window DID work. Using Chrome DID work.

I am writing to inquiry about bookmarks. I have hundreds of bookmarks, if not thousands with many folders, which I have saved over the last decade. I have always synced my account and it should all be there upon downloading a new firefox on my new computer. However, the HTML file that it is asking me to upload from is not a file I am able to find in by backups, time machine, or anywhere else. It is also not in my account after I sign in. I have spent nearly 10 hours trying to figure this out. I have read all your articles and went through the steps of about:profiles. ALL my bookmarks should have been synced and saved. I have firefox in my Time-machine backup also. But none of the library files populates the bookmarks.

It would be a huge harm to my research career if I am unable to restore my bookmarks. I have trusted and used Firefox for a long time. Please assist me in obtaining these bookmarks in my browser.

I have windows 7. On August 1 Firefox automatically uploaded version 116. Now my computer is running very slowly, and is taking a long time to load pages on the internet when I browse the web. I just learned searching the web (I never go any notification from Firefox) that version 115 was going to be the last version for windows 7, so how did I get version 116 automatically loaded onto my computer? How do I go back to version 115 which was working great? I right clicked on the Firefox icon on my desktop and clicked restore previous version and it states there is no previous version there. How do I go back to version 115.
