Sync is a nightmare. It is so unintuitive! What exactly would be wrong with having separate Export and Import buttons for each of Settings, Addons, Tabs, History, Bookmarks, etc? I have a desktop box and a newer laptop I wanted to get up to date. I pressed the Sync button on the desktop ... By the way, there`s a link below that reads "Connect another device" ... Connect where? Someone is designing these interfaces who has absolutely zero imagination. Anyways, I signed off, moved the ethernet cable to my laptop, signed in, pressed Sync, and voila!, I got my Bookmarks, at least. But I have no idea how to get my tabs and windows. I tried with a "download link" something or other, but it seemed to assume I was sync-ing to a phone, and didn`t work. Any way to get my tabs?

I installed TotalAV webshield & now firefox won't open full screen. I disable webshield, Firefox opens full screen. BUT I use webshield on chrome with NO ISSUES. I contacted TotalAV, and they said the issue is with Firefox. So...why is Firefox having an issue opening fullscreen when I enable webshield?

I don't seem t have the right usernames and passwords to be able to print out my logins and passwords. I am able to login to Windows whenever I restart my PCs, but Firefox doesn't accept the password. I have tried versions of the name that appears on my Windows screen after login, but that doesn't work. There is no alternative account on my laptop.

So this crazy new update has broken my Firefox in these ways:

1. All my bookmarks on my bookmarks bar have been deleted. 2. I can't drag any new links to the bookmarks bar 3. Overflow menu for apps is empty and will only let me drag Firefox defaults to it such as settings. Dragging apps to it is impossible. It "is" possible to pin items by using the Chrome puzzle piece..

Hiya, I'm hoping someone here may be able to help. I originally posted on the microsoft website but they were unable to help and said I should report to Firefox. I'm not sure how to do that so I'm hoping posting on here will get me an answer. I'm also unsure how to add a link to the forum I was using so have done a screen shot. Hopefully thats ok

I just noticed an auto download named uvapTQZG and have no idea what it is or what it's for. The file says 0 bytes html document and has the FireFox logo? Can anyone fill me in on what this is for?

Firefox always uses excessive GPU memory when I watch video and livestream. about:memory shows that the explict GPU memory allocation is only about 200 MB but in the task manager the GPU memory usage is 1GB, and the latter doesn't decrease even if I close the tab. I suspect that this is a memory leak. I searched for Bugzilla and found a similar issue that has been existing for years: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1386177

I recently had hard drive problems and during the ensuing melee, I discovered that Firefox has stored well over 100k files with the general name {xxx...}.final. Being the curious sort--and given that these boogers are taking up almost 1Gb--I looked at a few and they appear to be related to websites that I visited. I can see keeping some recent things around, but some of this goes back, literally, to the day I bought my PC. Um...that's a lot of files and a lot of space for places I visited once and will never go to again. Some of the websites no longer exist, so obviously those files are wasted space.

I am unable to find much about this on the web, either via Google or the help here. A few people have brought it up, but no one seems to know what to do. The help here goes nuts with the search term "final" and brings up a plethora of hits containing "finally" and so forth, but nothing useful. "}.final" isn't much help, either.

The path is C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile name>\storage\default

Questions: 1) Can some or all of this be deleted? 2) Is there a way to tell Firefox not to be so anal about keeping so many useless things?

Given the sheer quantity of these things, it would make future backup/restores easier if I could trim some of the fat, but I don't want to mess things up, either.

I have to search for a lot of entries in a long page, click on them to another window, do something (fill in a syllabus) and then go back to the long page and change the next search hit.

When I return to the long page the search in page is remembering where I am in the number of searches shown at the bottom of the page (e.g. 19/34) but when I click on the down button, instead of going to 20/34 it jumps back to 1/34 so then I have to press the down button 20 times to get to the next search hit.

Is there any way around this, so that I can just jump to the next search hit without having to press the down button 20 times?

I thought it might be the fact that the search is off screen but that is not it. It is the fact that I have left the page so the focus has been forgotten (except as the number 19/34 on the search in page bar at the bottom).

Is this a bug?

Ever since Firefox updated today I've been unable to use the browser. It takes at least 5 minutes or more minutes to load, I can't manually log into any websites until the speeddial finally loads, and the speeddial addon refuses to come up for at least 5 minutes, I can't log into Dropbox even with the speeddial up and running because the capcha won't popup...and on and on.

What in the world has been done to it? I'm using another browser just to contact support.

I'm having this issue where sometimes, when I double-click to download a link or open a downloads item, it opens the same bookmark page instead. This is the page, and not sure if it's alphabetical, since this pages starts with an 'a' "https://authorspublish.com/#optin" Wondering how I can get this to stop changing the page I am on and opening the bookmark.

Since firefox's latest update I am unable to access my online PNC banking account. PNC says that Firefox is no longer compatible with their online banking system. I'm using an IMAC computer. Here's the problem: In my Hotmail account, I am getting email "cards" (entries in my Hotmail account) that say: Unusual Sign-In Activity. Now recently, I spent a lot of time finally contacting and spending time with a Microsoft Tech Support agent. This agent helped me change the password on my main Hotmail account. Yet, I am still getting these annoying email "cards" in my Hotmail account. Now, I've analyzed these various email "cards" and I discovered a few things relating to Firefox. Here's what I found on all (5) of these separate email "cards": Sign-in details Country/region: Australia IP address: Please note I eliminated the IP address here because I don't know if it safe to do so or if I will be compromising my computer in any way. In order to share this IP address, I need to know if I am now dealing with an official Firefox support agent. If so and if it is necessary to share the IP address then please let me know in your follow up response. Is it possible to edit the userChrome.css file to have the tab/tool bar change colors like in Safari 15? I am new to CSS but would love to know if this is possible.

Whenever I open Firefox, the window will appear shortly after, but it will take around a minute for websites to load.

• This applies to both tabs from older sessions and opening new tabs.
• It doesn't matter whether I've just booted up, or if I've been running for half an hour.
• I've tried disabling all extensions, but that hasn't fixed anything.
• This doesn't happen when running Firefox on Windows 10
• I've tried both the system package and mozilla.org version

I am running Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon on my Gaming Laptop. Specs shouldn't be an issue. Am happy to share any system info necessary. ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!

Since the last 109.0 update I've noticed a strange behavior with Firefox.

Sometimes after watching a video stream in full screen, my toolbar changes and moves all my customized icons / extensions etc. into this "more tools" drop down menu. I can reproduce this by repeatedly switching from full screen to the normal view

This is so annoying and frustrating.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

All of a sudden every time I try to sign in on Yahoo mail I get a warning "We've noticed some unusual account activity" and I have to get a text (which I pay for individually) to get a code to continue (the code I get by email which would not cost me anything never works). I have no problem when I use Microsoft Edge. What is happening and how can it be fixed.

Am using FF 109.01 (64) and the latest Windows 10 (64) ver. I uses their Virus program.

With my bank security settings I have check marked to not use 2FA Bank home page asks for a security code anyway.

This has happened to me months ago and all of a sudden everything was OK. ... and now it has happened again. When I use Edge, Bank home page does not ask for a security code. This is the way I would like FF to perform.

I have phoned the Bank IT Help desk and they are bafflled. They had me try a bunch of acrobats but nothing works.

I love Firefox but it has a market share of just around 7% and is even lower than Edge (which is terrible IMO). Chrome has the most users at around 65%.

Although Firefox is a much better browser, the perception for many is that Chrome is better due to much faster browser loading. I have Chrome and Firefox installed on Windows 11 with the same extensions and Chrome loads my home page in 2 sec whereas Firefox takes 7 sec to load. Even after deleting all cookies, cache and web history, Firefox still takes 7 sec to load my home page.

It's great to prioritize security, flexibility etc and I love these aspects of Firefox, but by not doing something to improve the awful loading times, you are leaving users with the impression that Firefox is inferior and LOSING the browser battle.
