Hi, I've had Firefox 64 bit running on Windows for a while and recently was given a newer machine where I installed a newer version of the OS. I put the old HDD's as slaves in this new machine. So the old FF is in the slave machine.

I have also installed new Firefox on this new Win10 LTSC, but when I go looking in my now slave HDD I can see FF, but cannot see any bookmarks. Additionally, when I run the FF executable in the old HDD it still runs the new FF, without the old bookmarks.

So how can I extract the old bookmarks on the older FF? Without withdrawing the now slave HDD and making it a master again? As it's now missing most of the OS files too.

I've had this site that i have no recollection of visiting always there, pinned at the top of my search suggestions but i never bothered with it, till today when i decided to remove it.

I tried all the things i can think of and searched for a solution to no avail, any help is appreciated.

When I enter the first few digits of "amazon" the first suggestion is always "amazon.com". That would be nice were it not for the fact that, as a European, I don't have that much use for prices in dollars and imperial measurements. I have bookmarked "amazon.de" but due to alphabetical order .com always comes first. Naturally, I have tried to purge "amazon.com" from my bookmarks but I have been unable to find anything that I could delete. Thus, I am wondering whether anyone might know how this issue might be tackled and I would be much obliged if anyone could help.

I think this started after my most recent upgrade - I'm currently on 108.0.1, but I suspect it was an upgrade from 107, not just from 108.0 (I use PortableApps and only upgrade through PA, and it takes time for PA to prep new versions of app, so sometimes short-lived versions are skipped, and the 108.0.1 changelog only mentions one tiny bug fix). When trying to access a bookmark or folder on my bookmarks toolbar, nothing happens (color change or tooltip on hover, nor clicking) unless the mouse is at the very bottom edge of the button area, well below where the icon and text are. Is this happening to anyone else? I use the bookmarks toolbar heavily, so this is very annoying.

Hi everyone

I can no longer drag a bookmark to a folder and insert it where I need to in the folder, which previously was very useful.

Now when I drag a bookmark and try to insert it where I need to it defaults to inserting it as the first / top bookmark in the folder. Which means I have to drag it a second time to its desired position.

Please could anyone advise about how to get the functionality back.

When I bookmark something, I often apply tags. I have noticed that when I use a very long tag, combined with many tags, it prevents tags being used. For example, the word "internationalization" prevents tags being stored.

A bookmark that is tagged like this: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen internationalization will not have its tags saved.

However, this is stored successfully: one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen internationalization

This also stores successfully: 'one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen'

I installed the latest version of Firefox browser and now my bookmarks and passwords are gone.How can I get them back or can I go back to before the update to the previous version to get everything back. I'm disabled and I rely on my computer to stay in touch with everything and I can't remember all my bookmarks and passwords. I tried one method from the website and it said that I had 11 bookmarks but it didn't restore them. Anybody that can help I would greatly appreciate it.

I recently installed windows on a new solid state hard drive, and did a fresh install of firefox, but I forgot to manually backup my bookmarks. The old install is still on the old windows hard drive, is there a way for me to move them onto the new install? I'd prefer to not have to rebuild the whole list from scratch!

I have many bookmark folders with many items in each folder. Some folders have many,many items in those individual folders. To scroll down the many items I have in a folder takes time. Is there any shortcut I can use to get to the end of the list in a folder without scrolling down for five minutes to get to the end of a list? I have looked in the Firefox website but I have not seen this question. I have many folders that have a lot of items I have bookmarked. Thanks for any help you can give.

Good morning, Recently I discovered there are two maps called "Andere bladwijzers" in my Firefox browser. I deleted a submap in the second map and noticed this submap had also disappeared in the first map. Is there something I must do or can I leave these two large maps as it is? I am trying to put a shortcut to a web site on the Desktop. Using the the padlock on Firefox 109.0(64 bit) puts it in a sticky note on Desktop instead of a shortcut on the Desktop.

I am running running on Fedora 37 KDE where this does not work.

Using Fedora 37 Workstation (GNOME), the shortcut is created and works.

How do I get the shortcut to work on Fedora 37 KDE?

WHERE IS MY BOOKMARKS TOOLBAR??? Every time I update Firefox (now 109), I end up with all kinds of problems! NOW, I can't see my bookmark toolbar. All the help articles tells me how to show it or how to bookmark a page, which I already did multiple times. But this issue is never solved. If I can't get this resolved, I'm going to MS Edge.

So this crazy new update has broken my Firefox in these ways:

1. All my bookmarks on my bookmarks bar have been deleted. 2. I can't drag any new links to the bookmarks bar 3. Overflow menu for apps is empty and will only let me drag Firefox defaults to it such as settings. Dragging apps to it is impossible. It "is" possible to pin items by using the Chrome puzzle piece..

Using troubleshooting mode has no effect.

bold textAfter downloading latest version of Firefox, lost all bookmarks. Followed instructions on restoring, window showed all restored, but all are still missing.

I cleared cache, junk, and history from my computer, and now I have no bookmarks on Firefox, and when I bring up the restore option it give me several options but not bookmarks. Can someone please help me to restore them. Thanks

My wife has a desktop and a laptop. She wants to move 2 or 3 folders only, not the whole thing, nor merge ALL the bookmarks. Lets say 2 of the bookmark folders are called "Eyes" and Birds. She wants to copy those 2 folders, with their links inside the folder from her desktop FIREFOX and want to add them to her laptop FIREFOX Bookmarks Toolbar. Add them, not replace any of the bookmarks on the laptop, not overwrite anything else. How do I copy a folder from one FIREFOX running computer and put it on a USB drive to then ADD to the Bookmarks Toolbar on her laptop? I can right click and choose COPY but then when I try to "paste" the "paste" is greyed out.

Over the past two days, I have found if I create a new tab, the shortcuts that I had saved on that page have all disappeared. Does Firefox keep a backup of these shortcuts? Unlike related support messages I've read, my bookmarks and bookmarks toolbar are unaffected.

These shortcuts (about 16 of them) took quite a while to accumulate, and it is frustrating to see that they can just simply disappear like that.

Hello, I have a problem, where many bookmarks from my old device are synchronized to my current Firefox browsers (on PCs) even when old device is removed months ago. What worse, when sync is performed, it duplicates tabs, now in "Bookmarks menu" I have albost 2000 bookmarks what are duplicates od ~20/30 ofer month. If Firefox do sync now on 2nd PC, I will get again 2000 and plus something bookmarks. Deleting it gives nothing. It comes back again and again. Normal Bookmarks tabalso gets old tabs and duplicates.

Using Macos on an M1 MacBook Pro. When adding bookmarks to folders on version 110 to the bookmarks toolbar the contents of the folders on the toolbar do not update after adding a bookmark.

To clarify, a bookmark can be seen when I click manage bookmarks and look at the same folder (so it is there), it can also be seen if I add a bookmark directly to the bookmarks toolbar root, but not if it's in a folder in the toolbar.

Even a restart of Firefox fails to show the bookmark.

I do have bookmarks in folders on the toolbar but it seems to have stopped showing any new ones.

Any idea why?

What is the fix for solving the issue of having to scroll back down through the same bookmarks in a folder, instead of the folder holding its place from where you were working? This is ridiculous.
