Recently bought a new Mac Studio running mac os 12.4. Migrated FireFox from old mac. Firefox version 102.0 will not open anything for about a minute. Message says transferring from a web page but nothing happens. Sometime it says “cannot find server.” Firefox on my other older mac on same network works fine as does Safari on new Mac Studio. Once delay period over all work well.

I believe the latest Firefox update has a glitch which prevents me from downloading audiobooks through the library's Overdrive app. After failing several times and talking to a very patient librarian, I finally used a different browser and was successful.

Patch 1 and 2. 91 Branch: Patch 1 and 2 (Despite saying Parts 2 and 3, there is no Part 1). To clarify, so the current 102 release of FF does not 'contain any patch for that bug 1771084, and it's recommended manually to install these patches? Or they are already incorporated in the release?

I updated by mistake to a newer version and lost all of my bookmarks, passwords, and user names. How do I get back? I've tried using the fixes listed to import my bookmarks, but I cannot get them to work

I lost my bookmarks when I updated - I have a file on my desktop that is labeled old Firefox data. Nothing I can find explains how to get the old data file back into the new version. Some articles do talk about how to restore lost bookmarks but they all assume I can "see" the old files if I click on the restore tab in bookmarks. That will show me the Old Firefox Data folder, but when I open it none of the file folders appear to contain the HTML data needed.

I am 76 years old and not terribly computer literate. I need rudimentary explanations to solve my problem.

Failing that, can I just go back to my old version that worked?

Hello I want to install Firefox on a pc that is not connected to the Internet. Is it possible? For example, can i download the Firefox extension with another pc and install it on the mentioned pc. thanks

Firefox installed the most current update on my laptop (102.whatever), will not load any webpages, it does the autofill thing when you type but it sits there and does nothing.

I've tried reinstalled, it tells me its missing vcruntime140.dll or vcruntime140_1.dll depending on which previous version I download.

Reinstalling does nothing. Cannot access about:config, nothing loads.

Ive done everything including nuking every single bit of mozilla from the computer.

Ive downloaded all microsoft redistributables, I've verified all files within windows through CMD.

Edge works fine.

I'm at the point where I'm just considering moving to Edge full time if this isnt fixed ASAP.

Lately when I attempt to download any pdf file I get the 'file name'.pdf with 'failed' as the result (when I check the Download icon on the FF status bar). I looked in my download directory and I found these 'failed' .pdf files with 0 KB and also some files (same name).pdf.part. I changed the file extension (deleted .part) to .pdf and the files would open in Acrobat. Nobody likes inconsistent problems, but occasionally a pdf will download normally!! But it fails more than it works. Using FF 102.0 (64-bit)

Updated Firefox to 102.0 Youtube TV stopped working. (Macbook user) I am using the web version of Youtube TV through Firefox. Youtube TV starts, allows me to select channels but then i get the never ending spinning wheel. I have disabled ad blockers, cleared the cache. Restarted Firefox, Restarted Macbook Pro. Restarted router and modem. Youtube TV is playing fine using Safari which uses the same ad blocking software.

My question: What have I overlooked? Youtube TV was working fine prior to the Firefox 102.0 update.

I had a version of firefox working. The world was sweet.

One day (1 July or there about) things changed and firefox was basically useless. When I load it, all logins are forgotten and I have to log in again. (Painful, and another thread)

That aside: The "new" version was 102.0 This was applied to my machine without me knowing. (This also happened on another machine I have but luckily it didn't suffer the same problem.) But anyway...

The machine now has 102.0 installed.

The other day while trying to find what is "broken" in it, I am told there is an update and it told me I had 13 days to do it.... Or something like that. Alas I've deleted the screen shot as I need to keep the bin less full to help me if I accidentally delete something I shouldn't.

So now I have 102.0.1

So I'm confused: What is the mechanics of rolling out updates? An update I didn't want (beside the point) but none the less broke firefox was done without my knowledge, and yet another one which was throwing up messages at me when I loaded firefox doesn't?

I don't really know what either update did.

Yesterday I foolishly accepted help from a Sammer. He told me that he was from Microsoft and there were errors and unwanted web pages on my computer. He used Supremo to manipulate things in my computer using Supremo which is still active. How do I delete supremo

My Bookmarks did not transfer over from either my prior Firefox browser or my Safari Browser. I could not find the bookmarks.plist for Safari, and the upgrade did not ask if I wanted my Firefox bookmarks transferred over.

bold texti had to reinstall windows and had trouble remembering my password and had no idea that resetting the password would refresh or wipe clean all my saved tabs and passwords. This is aster-nine to think you browser gave no warning that this would happen.. I need my links, my tabs, password. No I had no other sync's, don't think I ever set a key. I love google chrome as simple as that. But I don't want to use multiple profiles in google chrome for privacy reasons. I am already using one account in brave browser. If chrome is 100%, brave is 70% for me. I am testing opera and it has to be the WORST. My main usages in browser are reading pdfs, bookmarking, reading google books, watching youtube videos. And opera sucks for everything. Its bookmarking function is of 1947 age. I need sth better. I don't like edge as it is too slow in my laptop not sure why(although my laptop is decent). I prefer to use google account. Mozilla was too IDK what to tell, it wasn't slow, but it didn't feel professional, it was childish browser. Recommend me sth. I'll have to go with mozilla if things go wrong. Sell mozilla to me.

I tried importing passwords from Chrome, but the Chrome browser on this machine doesn't actually contain any passwords. Do I need to sync the two on another machine, or is it possible to import from Google Password Manager instead of Chrome?
