What is the way to turn off the daily firefox update popup nag on MacOS? I've noticed Mozilla is heavy handed at shoving updates down your throat that break things but always come up short on communicating what changes were made. The last update broke printing and now it takes 2 minutes for timeout to occur every time I want to print a page. So I know there is a large community of users who want to turn off update nags, suppose every one of those users submitted a new complaint on a daily basis to nag Mozilla to turn the f*cking update nag off. What will it take?

Ever since I updated, typing has become incredibly challenging... There's big delays in the words showing up, letters come out in the wrong places, & it doesn't improve even when I clear cache, clear memory, & refresh pages. I don't know what else to do. Should I delete and re-install Firefox, or replace this with the previous version?

I used Apple Migration Assistant to move the entirety of my wife's old iMac (the old computer won't accept updates, so her machine was not secure) to a new one. The migration operation appeared smooth and essentially perfect.

Somehow my Bookmarks have overwritten my wife's (years ago, I turned Synch = ON, was that it? Synch is OFF now). The bookmarks are still OK on the old computer, so how do I locate and move that info to the new machine "AND BE SURE TO GET IT RIGHT"? My wife is the family business manager, so her bookmarks are Insurance, Banking, Healthcare, etc.

I've done some searching, but there are thousands of posts, I can't wade through all of that.

Help! I am a therapist. I am trying to upload my patient documents into my patient info system of therapy appointment and I cannot. TA tells me it is a firefox problem and firefox help notes tell me it is a TLS handshake problem. Please help me use psychselect.com Therapy appointment again!

airbook mac os monterey, firefox, beta, nightly, all have same issue, when restarting ff browser any of them, either due to an update, or a crash, i keep getting (sorry were having trouble restoring session) this has gone on for i think a year, Second Issue that just occured minutes ago, NIghtly, I Have been using nightly with out really any issue on this airbook running monterey, Last night? or today whenever the NEW nightly update came out, i updated like i always do, and no problems, so i shut down my airbook, and then upon starting it up today, i tried to open Nightly and i keep getting (nightly profile is damaged or incomplete or cant be found,  ?????? it was there less than 24 hours ago.?

So obviously "We’ve reduced CPU usage on macOS in Firefox and WindowServer during event processing" is demonstrably false.

I went to Headspace, streamed an audio in Safari, noted the %CPU in Activity barely budged more than 20%. Then streamed the same audio in Firefox 93, noted the %CPU rocketed up to 150% and the laptop got hot and the fan kicked into high gear. Then I updated Firefox, restarted computer fresh, streamed the same audio and.....surprise, surprise no fix, no change, %CPU rockets up like before.

I have just accepted latest software update and when I relaunched & restored my previous session it will not allow me to open any webpage when I click. Nor can I close a page.

Any ideas?

Hello Why is it that every time I open Firefox, I get a message asking me to update? If this persists, I may need to use another browser. I keep pressing the "download" button for the upgrade but nothing happens. Could this be the issue? Please help as I do not want to change my browser. What have I done wrong that the upgrade is not happening automatically? Thanks

Adobe Stock doesn't work with Firefox any more? Filter panel doesn't appear as well as unable to click on profile picture to access account. Have to switch to Safari now to use Adobe Stock.

I'm running a late 2017 MacBook Air with memory of 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Monterey 12.0.1 and using Firefox 95.0. I am having a continuing issue with a web site (E edition of The Fort Worth Star Telegram) that after opening a second page/window of a news article, that 2nd open page causes Firefox to stop responding. Clearing caches and or restarting computer does not help. Feedback to Star Telegram has yielded no solution.

The last few versions have been behaving erratically for me. Firefox often freezes, during normal light browsing. In some cases, it has frozen my iMac to the point of having to shut down using the power button.

I know programs can get wonky, but affecting the whole computer is troublesome. I regularly delete my cache. I just restarted FF in Troubleshooting mode, after the latest update to 95.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Bing somehow auto default set as my search engine and i need google as my default. when i drop down menu to change it gives no options, it only says "a browser" with Firefox logo next to it. i need help to fix this issue please! tyia:)

Can't figure this out, but certain UI elements on websites just disappear, they briefly reappear when my mouse cursor hovers over them.

The most obvious and noticeable place I see this is on the new tab page, where the shortcuts icon to my saved pages used to appear as letters representing the website. (For Example, the shortcut to Google drive was the Letter G)

Now, these letters are missing and briefly appear as my mouse hovers near them.

This happens to all kinds of UI elements on nearly every website.

I've been accessing work emails remotely for months now without problem, using iMac (catalina) and Firefox 94 (now updated to 95 with same issue). Log on to workplace account is fine, as is accessing Office 365. When I click on Outlook (within web-based set up) I see the email page briefly but then get "something went wrong: there was something that went wrong with the application. Pleas refresh your browser" error message, with no other clues as to what the problem is. Refreshing, rebooting etc does not solve issue.

I don't get the problem if I use Chrome, nor when I use Firefox on my workplace Thinkpad. So, something to do with Firefox + iMac? This started on Wed 8th Dec - I have not changed any of my settings, versions or equipment between 7th and 8th Dec, so I don't understand what triggered the problem. Any advice much appreciated.

my google maps app always opens with a city 3500 miles away....went to help, it said to click in a 'i' in a circle next to a locksymbol, left of the address bar....this no longer exists, i guess....seems there should be simple solution, but I have gone through a lot and can't find one!

I have the latest Firefox, and use Little snitch always. Constantly, i get popups from LS, asking for FF to connect to sites that i have used previously. Many, and no apparent pattern. Please. How can i shut off this 'function' of FF pre-connecting, or whatever it is? Anyone else getting this?

I use a macbook air with M1 chip. And I find that my mac got very hot when I watch YouTube on my extra display. When I use Safari or MS Edge, my mac kept cool (I have tested it. When I switched to Safari for a while, my mac got cool down). Would you do me a favor? I do not want use Edge and I need a browser that can sync my info on both Win10 and Mac.
