Hi I'm using Firefox to open PDF files from a network directory. The reason is that it's probably the best PDF manager I can find.

• What I wanted to do was have an option to open the file in a native viewer such as Adobe, this way look at 2 parts of the document at the same time.

At the same time keep it in Firefox.

Is there a setting to do this or an add-on. The add-ons I've seen are meant to open directly to Adobe from a web link I think.

The tab bar, toolbar, and address bar placement in my Firefox Desktop browser has recently changed. I have been trying to revert these recent changes as they interrupt my current workflows.

I DO know which prior profile save contains the desired info however, it contains many files and I DO NOT KNOW which files I need for the bars to be restored. If you could provide me the name(s) of the file(s) that holds the bars data, I am probably saved, hopefully saved.

I know this has been asked before but I've looked through past instances and couldn't find a solution that still seems to work as of 2022. I need a way to disable certain built-in Firefox keyboard shortcuts. I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox but if I can't disable the ctrl+i and ctrl+b keyboard shortcuts I'm going to have to switch back. I use both very frequently for work, so their non-functionality in this browser is genuinely impacting my productivity and it's getting really frustrating.

I have a website that has MP4 video in a HTML5 video player, with subtitles done in the WebVTT format (*.vtt). I just noticed that, when testing my pages locally on my C drive, the subtitles no longer appear on the movies. They do appear on the website (thankfully). Does this mean that lately Firefox has dropped support for local VTT files? Chrome has always ignored local VTTs, for some reason, which is why - until now - I used Firefox to test subtitles off the C drive. Note: If I link the local page to the VTT file on my website, subtitles still do not appear in Firefox. It could be something else, of course, so just need to know if VTTs are now unloadable locally in FF.

Hello. On some of my sites that i try to get onto with Firefox its says performing TLS handshake then it goes to Secure Connection Failed and says PR_End_Of_File_Error. I am totally updated with Firefox, plus i cleared out everything in my history. That did not help. When i tried to get onto these websites with Chrome web browser i do not have this problem at all. Why is this? I have BitDefender Total Security newest version for home. My firewall is through them along with virus protections. So can you help me out with this ongoing problem getting on some websites?

A lot of times while coding I press Ctrl+S to save Visual Studio Code and update live server (while watching on firefox the result). The problem is that when I'm focused on Firefox Ctrl+S pops up the Save Page window and (if I held Ctrl+S for more than a split second) it crashes (probably due to multiple popups becoming unresponsive). The mouse can't click to cancel the pop ups for saving the page nor interact it. I have to kill the firefox process and restart it. I've been looking into disabling Ctrl+S shortcut in Firefox with no success (extensions are deprecated or require too many permissions I'm not comfortable with).

Would someone help me to disable Ctrl+S or enlighten me on how to not have firefox crash every time I accidentally press Ctrl+S?

Firefox eventually crashes every time I use it, usually when there is about 165 mbs of data. I can relaunch it by both using CCleaner to clear the browser in addition to going to Firefox preferences and deleting data and history. I don't have Flash or Silverlight. I have refreshed Firefox a number of times and completely uninstalled it using the MacCleaner Pro App Cleaner and Uninstaller and reinstalling it using Mozilla's online download link.

Last night I was watching a video series on Amazon and the last episode won't play on my MacBook Pro. I plays on the TV and in Safari. I deleted and reloaded Firefox but the issue remains.

FF 100 on Linux Mint 20 cannot access any websites. Tor can. TBird email can. I'm on an older Ubuntu with FF 94 writing this. How do I get back to previous FF? URGENT!!!

Recently some programs, such as Word, are opening behind the browser window, so the only way I can access them is by shrinking and moving the browser. I also find that when a program does open in front of the browser, (as did Excel just now, I am unable to pull the browser window back to the fore without shrinking or closing the app window - ie closing excel - as I did just now. I have tested this in Chrome and Edge, and they seem to behave just fine, so the problem would appear to be with Firefox settings, but I can't locate a setting to tackle this.

Hi I am using firefox in arch linux 5.17.9-zen1-1-zen kernel and after the new firefox update I can't right click in firefox. Whenever I right click the context menu shows up for 1 sec and then it automatically takes me to the previous page. Click on the image automatically prompts me to download it although I don't want to download the image. Is there anything I can do to fix the issue ?

Clicking on the spacebar, does not produce a space between words, when typing text. I'm using a Mac Mini M1, on macOS Monterey (V 12.4), along with a Logitech MX Keys for Mac keyboard.

This happens randomly, for instance, on this very message. I previously posted a question regarding another problem that I came across with the same hardware and Firefox.

I found the solution to that problem by disabling an Extension in Firefox, however, I can't begin to think where to look for what setting, that may be causing my current problem.

I moved my old hard drive to a new ssd. Everything works but Firefox . I uninstalled and reinstalled when i try to use it I put in a search term hit enter and nothing happens. Also the drop down on right side nothing can be used

When I did the reinstall a error message came up about The code execution can not be found because VCRUNTIME 140-1 was not found reinstall Firefox again I did that did help

In my Bookmarks Toolbar I have created a Folder, 'News' and placed it at extreme left, next to the 'Show Your Bookmarks'. By clicking on the 'News' Folder I can see and select any of my favorite Web news sites. Very handy. Today, however, when I clicked on the News folder my 73-year-old hand accidentally dragged the News folder on top of the 'Show Your Bookmarks' icon and the News folder disappeared !! I can't figure out where it went !! Help !!

I could'nt play Netflix or Amazon videos on my Firefox browser, I have an old MacBook pro OS 10.9.5 (it's the last operating system I can use.. I have photoshop 6 and it won't work on any further OSs) I went to update Firefox, was not sure what version it was. and my computer asked" replace current version of Firefox with New" , I said yes, it did.. and then after I downloaded it, I noticed there was a circle with a slash going thru it on Firefox Icon, when I tried to open new firefox , it bascically said will not work with this OS. I could not go back and lost firefox alltogher, which also had my prefernces and autofill passwords etc. I went to Mozilla site to see if I could find an older version of firefox.. This is what I found : Firefox version 78 was the last supported Firefox version for Mac users of OS X 10.9 Mavericks, OS X 10.10 Yosemite and OS X 10.11 El Capitan. These users were moved to the Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) channel by an application update.

I downloaded it and it said It will not work on my OS, So, How can I basically get the same firefox I had or whatever the last version that works on my computer..and best case senario save my prefernces and passwords, which maybe might have been saved somehow when I tried to change in the begining .. thanks so much for your help.
