Dear Firefox team,

I'm a big fan of your browser! I also really enjoy using the Nimbus platform, but unfortunately their web clipper seems not to work with you like it does with other browsers.

It would be really nice, if the issue could be fixed! The Nimbus team seems to struggle finding out what the issue might be, so it would be very appreciated if there could be a solution you could tell them about. I would love to stay with Firefox, your browser is awesome!

The font that I want Firefox to use for rendering web pages is in my system (/usr/share/fonts/truetype/), but Firefox doesn't include it in the list of fonts that I can choose from. Other applications (System Settings, LibreOffice) can use the font that I want.

Where does Firefox look for the fonts that it offers for me to choose from?

This issue was discussed in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1354942, but the answer given was "The fonts are usually ordered in several section", which doesn't tell me where to put my font so that Firefox will see it.

I also think I remember seeing a comment somewhere that Firefox doesn't offer some of the fonts that it can see. How does it choose which fonts to offer? If I need to change my font so that Firefox will let me use it, I can do that with a font editor, but I need to know what the criteria are. After removing other elements, I'm left with a map, which I was able to expand to the top and sides, but not the bottom area.

I use userChrome.css and userContent.css to (1) turn unvisited links bright red, and (2) turn visited links bright purple, and (3) add underlines to all links.

This works well on light backgrounds, makes links easy to see and easy to distinguish from other text, but makes them harder to see on pages with dark backgrounds.

Is there a way to vary the link color to improve contrast? I can't use the default colors because most sites use blue links which are hard to distinguish from black text.

The spell checker isn't working for me. I've found old answers to this:

"You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages sub menu. At least one dictionary should be installed and have a check mark to indicate that it is selected.

   open the "Add Dictionaries" link to install a dictionary if you do not have one. 

The spelling checker is enabled if [X] "Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu has a checkmark.

You can enable or disable spell checking globally:

   Options/Preferences -> General: Language and Appearance: "Check your spelling as you type"

Note that for spell check you need a dictionary. A language pack provides string translations for the user interface.

But I don't understand what most of this means!

I don't find 'language' because I don't know where to find a "text box containing more than one line" I'd have thought this was one, but the option does not come up here when I right click.

I realise this is probably me being dense, but can someone help in simple terms, please? Thanks.

(menu bar) Firefox > Preferences I see this in hundreds of links for help. But it does NOT exist. Please do NOT tell me to go to menu bar and click on Firefox. It is NOT there. It just is NOT there. There is no tab, link, drop down or ANY thing that says Firefox. There is no tab, link, drop down or ANY thing that says Preferences. The menu bar is there. File Edit History Bookmarks Tools Help. But NO Firefox and NO preferences. I want my page to show the |||\ at the top. But I do not want the bookmarks tool bar at the top. I do NOT want Picture in Picture to show at the top. I do not want the bookmark star to show inside the url. Where and how do I fix these things???

I got a new computer recently and downloaded firefox. I'm the kind of person that has hundreds of tabs open, so my tabs are always full. I noticed that whenever I'm on a site, and I click a bunch of links (for example when you google stuff and you open a few results at once), the tab bar doesn't move. Previously if the number of tabs I open exceed the existing ones on screen, it will just push them to the right, out of sight. Only the newly open tabs will be visible. If I open enough to cover the whole bar, the ones on the left will just get covered while new ones on the right will be visible. The new pc is just, it doesn't move. If I'm on the tab on the furthest right and I open a link in a new tab, the arrow button just flashes blue for a second but it doesn't SHOW me the tab, granting me access. I'd have to scroll the tab bar to find it. I'm not talking about switching to the newly opened tab. Sorry if my explanation is bad but is there any way to make it like the way it was before?

Just to preface I have already tried looking for a similar issue in support and most of the answers are like "just make sure to not be in private browsing" but I am sure that I am not and my extensions are all allowed in private browsing anyways. I also know this is not a theme issue as after I removed ublock origin and re-added it to firefox the extension icon showed up in the menu just like usual, but I do not want to do this for every single extension as I have a large amount and I am worried about personal settings that I have saved being undone. In the past I have used this same firefox setup without any of these issues whatsoever and without changing any settings since then.

The main issue is that when I click the extensions menu toolbar icon (the puzzle piece) it only takes me to about:addons. On this page I can confirm all my extensions are there, and I know that they are working, due to things like ads still being blocked from ublock origin or tracking links being blocked from clearURLs. However there is no icon for them after clicking/right clicking the the extensions puzzle piece, or when using the "customize toolbar" feature, or in the overflow menu, or in any other possible place. I have also tried telling the toolbar to reset to default and this does not help. Since the puzzle piece icon never shows me a menu, there is no way to right-click an extension and get the menu option to "pin to toolbar" as this option can't be found in the about:addons page as far as I have found.

Is there any way to fix this beyond just re-adding every single one of my extensions?

Hi, I've currently got Firefox 115.03 (64bit) installed (Windows MSIX package). The size of the bookmarks toolbar cannot be changed. I've found solutions online that unfortunately I cannot use on my pc due to limitations. https://github.com/xiaoxiaoflood/firefox-scripts#instructions Is there a way to edit the width of the toolbar in the firefox setting without the need of any script? The aim is to have multiple lines available in the bookmark toolbar so I can see all saved bookmarks there (I had three lines before changing PC and I managed to do so by modifying firefox' settings only, but it was a long time ago). the download complete sound is too damn loud, is there a way to disable the alert? i use my computer connected to my tv and so far the only way i have found is to mute the system volume. i am looking for a setting in firefox to change.

Firefox Bookmarks or Thunderbird messages folders : I'm trying to find out which folder I stored this bookmark or message in. I do a search and if I'm lucky I find a list of possible items. But the LOCATION option refers to something different from ' in which folder it can be found'. Is there a way to find this ? To find the LOCATION WITHIN THE APP ---- - WHAT FOLDER IS IT STORED IN

I am a backend developer (API maintainer) and I use firefox as my primarily browser at work. A feature that I would find very useful would be that firefox prettifies the "Form Data" under the "Request" tab when a request is selected under the "Network" tab in the developer tools, and with prettify I mean to display in multiple lines and highlighted properly (for a comparison example you can take the "Postman" application feature under the "raw" tab).

As of now it only displays the form data in a single horizontally scrollable line and it also has a "Raw" toggle.

On the new tab, the box around the shortcuts and the search bar stay dark grey. I've messed around with all the advanced color options on firefox color, but nothing seems to affect it. It bothers me since I changed the background color.

i set my youtube and twitter to dark cuz who the hell uses white background these days. also im changing the languange at youtube to hebrew.

the next day i go to the sites it reset to defualt again. im still log in tho. didn't try in other browsers but i don't think its site specific problem cuz it happens in both sites.

I recently made a switch to Firefox and while I've been able to find solutions to all my problems, I'm struggling with this one. I use drag-and-drop to upload images really often and in my previous browser (Opera), after my images have been dropped into Discord for instance, the folder would be hidden behind the browser. Firefox does not do this however and stays focused on my folder which means I have to manually click inside Firefox to continue with my work. I was wondering if there was a way to make Firefox come back into focus after I drop images in the browser.

The Trustee Rapport Extension lets me know that I need to enable it. But I find that it has not been installed. Who does this? If I am to install it, I need the instructions to do so.

Dear Well Loved, Firefox community.

I wanted to ask if theirs a trick to, or if not, ask for a how to ask mozilla to create a new functionality for storing you Default Session Setup.

Whats the idea, is very simple. This surges, for my needs of how I use the tool.

Somewhere, 70%-90% of my work week hours are spent on a browser, specific on the very best and my first love, Firefox (well si was not may first, but it the closest to Netscape, my true love). For organization reasons, I always open my tabs on the same order and pin the first 4 to 5 tabs, there are my top 4 to 5 tools, example: my email, my calendar, messaging (whatsapp or slack), , my comapy tab (erp, crm, wms, etc).

So it will be nice, that at any divice I'm login, every time I open my Firefox this pin tabs always open first, so that my working setup is open wright away.
