Not exactly sure why but the browser is no longer working for my banking. I first noticed it a week ago when I tried to log in and then ended up calling the bank tech support. They told me to use google chrome instead. I have been using Firefox for years and never had a problem. After researching for latest update changes, I tried changing the settings to allow cookies for the session for the bank but this did not work either. Any idea why this is happening? Thank you. The tabs on Firefox seem to be smaller than they were a few days ago, and I can't find where to enlarge them. It would help if right-clicking the Tab Bar brought up a "view" option.

I recently added the Firefox Private Browsing feature and I believe I made a mistake. Since then my computer often slows to a crawl and I have to restart it to get it to function normally. I wish to delete the Firefox Private Browsing feature to end any burden it may be on my computer. I do mean delete and not disable.

How can I remove the Firefox Private Browsing feature?

in the autoplay box in settings my allow camera and microphone is showing but there is nothing typed in the box e.g. facebook. how do i get facebook typed in there because when i use facetime on facebook, i cannot hear or see anyone even though both my camera and microphone are on

My "PRIMARY" email address is WRONG -- cannot log in, cannot access Firefox Account, cannot do all the things offered by Mozilla. HOW DOES A LONG TIME CUSTOMER -- any customer -- GET HELP TO FIX THE PRIMARY ACCOUNT???????

Maybe a gun to the computer would be the best way to eliminate the Firefox problems -- seems that way. Then on my new computer I can STAY AWAY FROM EVERYTHING FIREFOX OR MOZILLA. STUPID WAY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS -- Oh, maybe that's my problem. I am NOT A CUSTOMER cause I don't pay you.

I don't think HTTP protection is breaking the internet for me but it's just not letting me access my bookmarks! Either fix the problem for me or give me a link to go to! Thank you! I click on a bookmark then blocks my access.

So, back in the days when I installed Firefox, it would automatically pin it to the taskbar. When I opened Firefox, the newly-opened Firefox window appeared separated from the pinned icon in the taskbar. I liked this because it allowed me to open new windows faster. Now, I had to uninstall and re-install Firefox (the last version as of today) because of some problem. Now, this separation no longer occurs. If I open Firefox, the opened window and the pinned icon in the taskbar become the same thing. How can I fix this?

I am using Windows 8 Pro btw.

Stopped receiving daily Washington Post newsletters yesterday, and they question if Firefox changed something? Is there something new preventing receiving them? If yes, how can I change it to allow the Washington Post e-mails? Thank you!

why can't "enchanted tracking protection" be disable in about:config. I changed it to FALSE DOES NOT WORK??? I'm 68, I can't keep turning it off to type in passwords. I pay my bills online. I have pay Malwarebytes for protection. It should be optional, not shoved on us. Jazz

I will open a few tabs, then close some then open more , then everything slows down, I go to task manager and see that many tasks are still open under Firefox

I want tabs to close ( end process) when I close them

So now I manually 'end process' and the machine resumes speed

How do I get firefox to End Process when tabs are closed

this is w 8.1, don't know what version of firefox, pretty recent

this is firefox mozilla, as best I understand, not that I know why these two are always paired

Ok, I've resolved this in the past, several version of Firefox ago, under windows. Firefox crashes silently, open it again and no tabs are restored. Open firefox again and look in recently closed windows and the one with my tabs is not there, only little utility windows that are popped up when I log in at the coffee shop, so my recently closed windows are overwritten with windows with no tabs.

So I go to my profile sessionstore-backups folder and copy it to the desktop. I have 6 files, previous.jsonlz4, recovery.baklz4, and recovery.jsonlz4 at around 8 megs in size. I copied each to the folder one level up and renamed them sessionstore.jsonlz4, and each time restarted firefox. All that opens is a blank tabbed firefox window.

There was never an existing sessionstore.jsonlz4 file anywhere I could find, even with firefox closed, this file never appears anywhere I could find it. Searching files with Windows was also unsuccessful.

I feel like I have captured the files with my tabs, based on the date modified, several were from before the crash. Why can't I find a working tutorial on how to restore my tabs? Nothing I've found on the support site works though I follow the directions exactly.
