Apparantly I need to download the latest version of Mozilla Firefox to enable my browser to work properly Please help

closed private window w/ 'history' display open. Now the Private window always displays the 'history' sidebar every time it's opened. ps: old system i can't afford to replace running vista with latest FF v. available for it. Works great for what i want to do. Thanks.
