I try to install Firefox on a HP Z1 G8 desktop under Windows 11 Pro. The first time I get a warning that a .dll is not available or so (I dont know what this warning is precisely, becaus it pops up for 2 seconds only ) , and firefox is not well installed, reinstalling goes without warning, but still Firefox starts and then stay dead, no sites, no settings. I know the security in this computer is very thight, but other apps install without problem and functions.

Why Firefox cant be installed where other apps can ??????

The 10/18/2022 update changed the theme and color settings for my browser. It is practically unusable. Attempts to use other themes do not solve the problem. Every web page I have used since the update is affected. Screen clip attached. Besides killing my productivity today, this change has made FF unusable! How Do I get this Reset to Prior State?

PS: Just now, I try to click the box for "Email me when someone answers the thread" and it will not mark the box.

Hi, For decades it was not a problem to simply open a file instead of saving it, but now it doesn't matter if you wanna save or only open a files, it will save it anyway and pollute your download folder and download list.

And the fake explanation they give about "but its hard to find file in temp folder..."... SERIOUSLY!? that's your excuses!? If i want to simply open a file its not to save it so there is no need to find it otherwise i choose the "save to" option not the "open" one... What the point of having to choose between two option if they both do the exact same thing (no sorry one open the file AFTER saving it without our consent and in an unwanted place while the other simply save it where we want as expected...)

Update after update firefox is becoming a real pain to use... everything that used to work perfectly with easy setting to understand now either don't work anymore either has getting extremly difficult to set with random unrelevant setting that do not at all what they say they do... i think that last one will kill firefox... seriously who got such a terrible idea "hey let's fucked up open setting so it work the same way as save setting without telling anyshit to anyone so our company can die"

WHY do you strip my FireFox every 4 times I update? Sooner or later I will get tired of this circle jerk. Put my FireFox back like I run it, you try and try to have me run a generic Browser, when they do me no good, trying to mine my data is futile, as we show time after time. I am constantly annoyed by the ever present "notification" to update Firefox to the latest version. There is no easy way to get rid of the nagging notice. PLEASE NOTE ::: I DID DOWNLOAD AND UPDATE MY PC TO THE NEWEST VERSION WHICH DID NOT LIKE AT ALL !!!!

So, I returned to the latest version I had been using and all is well. EXCEPT : I AM CONSTANTLY NAGGED TO UPDATE. WHICH I DID, DID NOT LIKE, AND DO NOT PLAN T DO IT AGAIN.

You need to add an option for user like me who have done what you asked and did not care for the result. IF YOU THINK PEOPLE WILL LEAVE, PERHAPS YOU ARE RIGHT ... IF YOU GIVE THEM THAT CHOICE. I PREFER TO SEE THE CHOICE TO KEEP WHAT i HAVE AND NOT GIVE IN TO THE LATEST WHIM. So, if your product is so good, why not let us decide to stay with the version we are using and not be nagged into a new one we will not like. I recently purchased a dell refurbished computer, I set it up went and downloaded fire fox without any trouble. I restarted computer today and it would not accept password I called DiscountcomputerDepot.com help and they helped me to restart and they told me they would have to reinstall windows from computer. So I lost all my programs. when it restarted said would have to update windows. The default font for a lot of websites has changed and will not accept the settings to change back.

Default font is Times New Roman - size 12. Advanced setting "allow websites to override font" is deselected (disallow)

NOTE: when I was stupid enough to trust Mozilla developers and hit "restart to install" instead of actually shutting down and restarting myself, ONE tab in ONE window had been zoomed in. Now it appears that that zoom has been adopted as default, overriding whatever I put in settings.

That. Is. Beyond. Stupid.

The fact that the default font settings don't apply as default is also not the greatest...

I Just upgraded to 103.2, When I start FF It starts with all my bookmarks pw mgr etc and I can browse to my hearts content . I use Thunderbird mail client If I click on a link for a site with a stored pw in FF password manager now I get a clean new window which has no bookmarks and no saved passwords for anything. How can you help me?

I got a new Acer laptop with windows 11 (64bit). I downloaded FF but when I open it, it just gives a blank page. If I type in an address nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling but nothing seems to work

Can I revert to the previous version of Firefox pre-this update - I find this GUI very difficult to manage. Everything comes up too large - and websites I'm accustomed to operating on are totally reorganized and have become hard to use.
