I keep having a new page open when I click on a button. For instance, when I clicked the "category" to get to this page, another page opened for Norton.

For instance, trying to navigate to this page caused another page to open with a Norton advertisement. Doesn't happen every time, but every 3-4 times. I have gotten QuiBids, Redbox, RxConnection, and Car Insure besides Norton. I can't figure out how to stop this.

hello OKHiltibrand, this sounds like a problem caused by malware on your pc. please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (especially Word Layers 3, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

This worked great. I try to be so careful to check that some program isn't going to be sent along with another program. I don't know how many times Norton was loaded before I realized this problem. I use AVG. They don't like each other. Thanks so much for taking the time to read messages and respond to me.

Thanks so much for your suggestion. I didn't work but it nice to know that there are nice people out there reading questions from exasperated people like me and taking the time to respond. Phillipp had a suggestion that worked.
