Use Control Panel and delete anything with Babylon. Then use RegSeeker, a program that lets you easily search through your registry. It's a free program

I have removed it after alot of messing and much time waisting, this babylon is a piece of s#it!!!!! i removed all the obvious babylon program files and followed the methods described on this site, i removed it from add ons and restarted firefox to defult settings also i used the firefox clean up tool with no luck. Yes there is software that will find and remove babylon but i didnt fancy this route unless i had too as a last resort. After removing all obvious babylon crap look through your files for BROWSER MANAGER file, i cant tell you where it routes itself in my haste to delete it i didnt take note of where it was, this is the file you need to delete then reset firefox and be free of this pest :) i hope this saves people thier precious time!

STEP 1. Yes, first go to programs, type 'run' and press enter. Then type in 'regedit' and then enter. Go to the top of the list, press f3 and search for babylon *casing doesn't matter*. It will find anything with babylon in it, delete them all, and continue to press f3 until the registry says that it has finished searching through the registry. It should eventually lead you to a folder called babylon, delete that too. STEP 2: Run you anti-virus AND Malware bytes to be sure. STEP 3: Go to your options, set the search default to whatever you want, then to to the quick search bar to the right of the address bar, click on it, 'manage search engines' remove Babylon. Next you have to click on the little world or babylon symbol in the adress bar, and click more information. Now you'll have to go to permissions, and unclick EVERYTHING down the list and select block. Restart mozilla and you should be fine.

Follow Steps 1 & 2. Next, you have set your browser's home page *and for chrome you'll have to go to options and manage search engines. Delete anything babylon related. Setting your home page and trying to delete Babylon if it'll let you is a recommendation, I forgot if it let you or not. THEN you have to go to options again in chrome find on start up and click the link on the third option then delete babylon. It's a long, tedious process. I don't know much about Internet Explorer but virtually follow every option...

Finally after 3 Months I got rid of Babylon after trying everything that google search engine search told me to do it was a file called "Browser Protection" i uninstalled it from Add/Remove Programs did the about:config in Firefox search for Babylon reset all Babylon Entries restarted FireFox and Babylon it was gone i also laid a compliant with the FTC against Babylon.com as well as CNET.com from who i got this Plugin after downloading a shareware Program From CNET.com i also planning of laying a compliant with the FBI to investigate CNET.com who serves as a distributor for this Babylon malware. I also want to know from Norton Antivirus,Mcafee antivirus,AVG, and other Anti Virus roll players how much money did they make in selling virus packages which could not remove this malware and why did they not release a patch or a removal tool for this malware. I think the FBI should investigate these companies as well. PS stay away from CNET.com they are not at all trustworthy. Regards Carel

Boot in safe mode, then do a system restore, It worked for me. Just restore system to an earlier time before the machine got infected.

I have had the problem with trying to remove Babylon for months. I have tried many of these posts of which none seemed to work. I wrote directly to Babylon telling "Alex" how upset I was and reported them to FCC. Here is a copy of the reply (which they coded as High Priority):

Open Google Chrome and click on the "wrench" icon:

Click> Settings , choose the option "Open a particular page or set of pages."

Click "Set Pages" on page Babylon and delete from the list.

To change the search engine in Google Chrome, please follow the instructions below:

Open Google Chrome on the "wrench" icon on the right side of the address bar, click:

Settings> Under "Search", click "Manage Search Engines ...".

If you see "Babylon Search" as a standard (default), select please another search engine as the default from (Google, Bing, etc.). Only then will you Babylon You can remove by clicking the little 'X'.

Open your Internet Explorer browser, click on "Tools", then "Internet Options" and in the section "Tabs" click on "Settings". It will open a new window, on the option "When a new tab is opened, open:" in the drop-down menu please choose "Your first homepage". Then click OK, Apply and OK.

looks like alot of suggestions but not much solutions.

Right now my Babylon iteration isnt showing up on the 'Uninstall Programs' in Win7, nor is it showing up in any of my browser's extensions and add ons. A manual search fails to show anything either. Yet every time i restart my browsers (IE, FF and Chrome) the annoying toolbar is t here. The official Babylon removal site suggestions aren't anywhere near successful. It's embedded like a tick. IT really worries my, how deeply rooted it is. And I'm really at a loss.

Help, anyone?

did You try doing a system restore? It worked great for me. You may have to do it from safe mode like I did

In my experience, you need to go into your options to remove the Babylon add on programs, reset Firefox, delete the programs from your computer (uninstall), and run system-wide searches to isolate the Babylon adware and malware. It takes a while, and could be reinstalled by Facebook usage (like how a lot of malware ends up on systems) or un-customized software downloads. I have been working to wipe Babylon (and various other programs spawning from a minor's gaming habits) from several computers in my network, and this medley seems to solve the issues.

I have encountered the same issues, although I was able to successfully remove Babylon from both IE and Chrome, but not FF. I am able to use about:config to eliminate its launch during a session, but any tie I close Ff and re-start it, Babylon is back as the default search engine whenever a new tab is opened. It has stopped hi-jacking my home page and no longer appears on the list of search engines, but it definitely launches each time I re-start.

I have even gone through the registry and removed every reference to Babylon with no success.

This thing is pernicious and needs to be stopped.

I would love to know how to get rid of it once and for all.

I've tried restarting FF, deleting all files and this babylon thing still pops up as my homepage. For a time it'll show my regular homepage, then babylon comes back. What the...? Tried system restore too. Tried malware search, uninstall search, file search. I delete whatever I find and empty recycle bin, still it comes back. It's not an add-on either. How do we get rid of this thing?

Removing a program called Sendori worked for me! Seems to be some kind of malware. I have no idea where it came from. Update--- Okay, now I know it is installed with the Flash Player Pro installation. Uninstalling Flash Player Pro will not get rid of it. You have to uninstall the Sendori program itself.
