Hi,

Please also try disabling Use hardware acceleration when possible in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Advanced > General. If the problem persists, please check if this happens in a new profile. If the new profile is okay, you can later copy the needed personal data from the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in another location (profile folder) separate from its files/folder. A new profile would have the default Firefox settings in Tools (Alt + T) > Options and about:config, and usually would also be empty of Extensions and themes (Appearance) in Tools > Add-ons, and their settings. Also, a new profile would have no previous stored website cache/cookies/data/preferences etc., (Tools > Clear Recent History).

I have deleted and re-installed FF two times, It has to be a problem in FF or it has been hacked, but other people have been having this problem since FF-4.5 and up so I am betting it is within FF itself ! ?

I don't know what you mean by "hacked", but have you tried creating a new profile?

Yes I have disabled the hardware acceleration and changed all passwords etc and it seems to be fixed so I don't know witch or what fixed it or if it is fixed but i have not noticed it for a while now !! For those that wonder what I am talking about ! When I click the red X to close my browser I can stare at the screen click and for a split second I can see what appears to be a photo or another browser behind my browser but you have to be looking close and fast..it is not normal and is a new thing to me and I do not trust it what ever it is BUT as I said think all is well for now...THANKS FOR ALL THAT REPLIED !!
